Panasonic GH4 Announced

Been saving up for this one, can't decide if I should invest for this camera, or wait for the gh3 price to drop. Decisions, decisions.

The only way I could justify getting a GH4 is if I spend money on a solid external recorder. Otherwise, I don't see much of an advantage of this over a GH3.

The 96fps would be sick, but I'M TIRED OF 8 BIT 4:2:0!

Like someone else said, the recorder is the only thing that would make it worth it for me. Depending on price though, I'm sure i'll end up with it because I'm a gear whore and have to try it out.

Looks like I might be saving my tax return money for a GH4 and Atomos Ninja or BM Hyperdeck. Recording 10 bit 422 directly to SSD's would be perfect. Focus peaking, zebras, etc, and 96 fps are just icing on the cake. Plus, the potential for 10 bit 4K with nearly 1:1 sampling of the sensor with that heinous looking brick attachment is pretty damn good.

very interested in this. anyone else have any more information or thoughts on why this may be a good or a bad choice. currently have a t4i but have been thinking of switching to something like the gh3 or 7D
