NS, i just have a few questions for anyone with some knowledge. i am aware that ns is primarily hd but whatever:

1: whats a cheaper fisheye i could buy for the dvx. I'm aware that an mk2 is good but if theres anything cheaper than that, id be more interested.

2a: can someone just quickly go over on the steps to import video

2b: as the dvx cannot import video and a secondary camera is needed to import them, could someone recommend a secondary camera that would be on the cheaper side?

3:

3: are there any need to know tips?

Cheap Fisheye, comparable glass to MK2. Probably the only good thing made by opteka:

Importing Video:

Can be done in most/all video editing software. You have to have a firewire port on your computer (no USB adapters) and you should get the option to capture the footage. After that you have to break everything down into individual clips. Then, once you are there, it is like editing any other footage.

Capture Cam:

Go on ebay, find something cheap. Doesn't really matter, all you are using it for is the firewire port and it's internals. Make sure it is alright+ condition. This would be an option-

I want to see some skiing footage from that, I think it would be sick.

Other guy said basicaly what i was going to say but just know mini dv cameras dont always like the cold, my vx sometimes craps out when im up at the top of the mt. Keep extra batteries in ur pocket so they stay warm and if ur cam decides to be difficult just swap batteries and that usually fixes it for me.
