Packs and ski carrying options

ok so which do you all find better a vertical ski carry or do you prefer a dignal. for me the diagnal is just too awkward when hiking, the vertical makes it much easier for me to balance etc.

Does anyone know how to achieve, or buy the pack that will allow you to carry your skis in an "X" pattern?

When I do vertical I hit my head on my skis.
