Pack shovels

I want to get a shovel I can put in my backpack like a avalanche shovel, but bigger. Some friends and I want to build some booters this year but none of us have shovels. Avalanche shovels are easily concealed, but wouldn't seem effective for building jumps.

whats the answer to the other two questions?

Dude I know how to build jumps, I've done it before. My resort won't let me on a lift with a regular old shovel in my hand so I need something concealable. This thread is about shovels that are bigger than an avalanche shovel but can go in a pack.

i cant really think of too many that will fit in your pack, what pack do you have? i use a brooks range shovel and it works fine for building booters.

Get a decent avalanche shovel and call it done. We've built some decent size kickers with just a couple of G3 Guide shovels.

I mean think about it... you want an avvy shovel to be as big as it can be (fast digging) while still being reasonably portable. What you're essentially asking for is an avvy shovel that isn't an avvy shovel, without really giving any particular reason why you don't want an avvy shovel.

Yeah I know you spit the snow into blocks or whatever, but on the east coast we don't have the snow for that. I have a DaKine Heli Pro 20L and get what ya'll are saying with the asking for an avy shovel that isn't an avy shovel.
