Whats good guys? I was wondering if any of you have done the Pacific Crest Trail hike? Im interested in partaking in this journey next year and am starting to prepare now.. I remember a thread a loong time ago here where a guy did it, but I searched to no avail..

So, if you have done it, or know of anyone who has done it, experiences? How did you find it? Any advice/certain items that made the trek more bearable and what-not?

Thanks guys!

Hahaha and that was absolutely pointless post by me sorry. Depending on when you go some of the upper trails can be washed out and pretty sketchy with shale rock. Bug spray is a must. If you go through any of the lava flow I would do it early as possible. Can be miserable.

If you do it, walk at your own pace. Don't get caught up in a group of other thru hikers who are going faster or slower than you want to.

A friend of mine is currently doing it. He and his buddy who were in the army are taking donations and giving them to the Wounded Warriors project. Check out their blog: taskforcepct.blogspot.com

be prepared to come through wa in mid august...i work for a resort that the PCT runs through and there is still a SHIT ton of snow on the trail....especially in the trees. we also store a good of caches for thru-hikers
