PACE Anti-Piracy?

Hopefully somebody knows this:

I'm currently working on installing a program and right before the install is finished it says to complete I have to install PACE Anti-Piracy software. I looked into PACE on google and a bunch of people said it was basically spyware that is impossible to uninstall, and will slow down your computer a ton. I really want to install this program.

Does anybody have any experience with PACE Anti Piracy that might help me out?

Any help will be much appreciated.
 
I am sure that you will be able to find another program that does similar things and doesn't require spyware to install.
 
Not one clue. I am too lazy to even Google the program to see what it does.

As a general rule, steer clear of any program that wants you to install other, sketchy looking things on your computer to make the other one run.
 
there should be n option somewhere along the installation process where theres a checkbox and it says

install:

-editing program

-gay tooldbars and shit

-PACE

just unclick pace, and any other gay shit it wants to install. then consider yourself gay shit free.

if it doesnt have that try a forum where people know about computers.
 
Thats what im editing in now. Its pretty good, but Avid is definately way more legit. I just dont want to fuck my computer.
 
im a mac guy so ive never tried it. but supposedly adobe premiere is good and attainable for free on the internets. no guarantees but you might want to check it out?
 
I wish it was like that. It gives me the option to install it or not, but when I click no, it just says that install is aborting.

I can see why they want to protect this program, its like 7 grand, but PACE is bullshit
 
okay. heres what i found out about your problem

PACE comes with most high end media software. it is generally installed un announced (douchebags)

in order to un-install it, i guess you have to download the drivers or some shit off of their website, then it will be like "yo whats up?" and you can choose to uninstall it.
