So last year when Red Bull picked up P.K Hunder i wana know the criteria for the selection. Out of all the available pros who do not have an energy drink sponsorship Andreas is by far the most decorated. P.K Hunder is incredible in big air and in slope no doubt but hasn't got many podium finishes and when it comes to movie segments Hatveit is getting more face time.

What do ya think goes behind decisions like this?
 
not really a case of X vs. Y and i don't know why you would try to make it one. red bull obviously think pk will be a good guy to rep their brand, end of story. before his injury at joss last year he was on top of the pile.
 
no i dont wana compare them but surely Red Bull as a company had a pool of talent to choose from they dish out the most money and are very selective. is it a matter or age or demographic?
 
i think you are missing the point completely. when red bull signed pk he was on fire- last year he won pretty much every city big air with a dubcork 10 that every single comp skier has tried to imitate, barr none. andreas has had a great year and is definitely one of, if not THE best park skier in the world right now. no point trying to say which is better, they both kill it.
 
Andreas is just too damn happy all the time. That kind of attitude doesn't sell RedBull. Wanna know who sells RedBull? Ryan Sheckler.
 
For some reason I though PK was spanced by Monster but w/e.

But anyways I don't think Andreas cares who his sponsors are just as long as he is skiing and is stoked on life.
 
ah... i don't think anyone is really getting the point here on how sponsors like red bull get their athletes....
 
Red bull pick up athletes and then help them develop and then once there skill set is incredible they continue to push them with outstanding opportunities They don't buy superstars. That's it in a nutshell.
 
i dont agree with the statement that they select up and coming riders instead of buying the premier ones.
but i'm not comparing one to the other i am trying to find the reasoning behind the selection process, one could also make and argument for picking up Henrik or Kenworthy if they pick up and coming talent.
 
ummmm yeah about that. Might be the case sometimes with Red Bull, but I dont think "That's it in a nutshell"
