Oz skiing

Im flying over to aus in 3 weeks after a week stopover in mexico. And of course, im bringing my skis. Ive been trying to get a job with perisher.

My question is whats the best skiing in aus? I was debating doing a road trip and skiing all that australia has to offer. Im coming from vancouver, so i know it wont be near to whistler quality. but i cant go 6 mths with no skiing. any info or advice would be great.

depends wat u like more thredbo has longer runs and better partying only downfall is that the park isnt that good and it gets fair patchy at the bottom

perisher is higher up so better snow falls but shorter runs also its park is arguably the best in aus. however the night life their is pretty shit but that can be solved by staying in jyndabine which will be a 40 min drive to get to either thredbo or perisha each morn

Falls Creek, my "home" resort has a great park+pipe, much better than some i've seen in Europe and Japan.

For steeps, great runs and partying Hotham is the best.

Falls has a good park but the terrain is a bit tame. Hotham is better for terrain and snow and its just a short helicopter trip from falls so you get best of both worlds. Buller is the other Victorian mountain, haven't been there for a couple years (will be back this year for Uni games though). It's the closeest mountain to Melbourne.
