Overkill Bindings

So I can get a really good deal on a pair of pivot 18's, Im planning on mounting them on a pair of gotamas. The only issue is im probably going to be riding at like a 9 DIN. How do you guys feel about this? I know I don't need that much binding but for construction and price im really thinking about it. If it helps... 5'9", 145lbs 306mm BSL type 3/3+
The only other thing im concerned about is I have heard they are a bitch to get on in powder. My other option is a sth12 driver for about the same price. Im currently on s912's and really like them, im waiting to see how well they hold up.

There's nothing wrong with that, it's just the S912 is a pretty lightweight binding, and if you like it and aren't using a high DIN, no need to get FKS 180

I know its a big jump. I know I don't need that much of a binding. But Im within the DIN range and looking for something bulletproof. So if they torque out fine would there be any reason it would be unsafe? Its going to cost me more for pivot 14's or anything more appropriate.

he is talking about p18's NOT fks!

P18's weight soooo much, and you want to be at the middle of your bindings din range for best performance.

Yea im talking about look not rossi. Im still not sure if I believe the whole stay in the middle of the DIN range... I understand why you want to but if they torque out fine I don't see how they are unsafe.

get an education!

yer a jackass!

P18 does not equal FKS18

damn you are stupid

p18 is a fucking brick that is not at all the same design...like not in the slightest

P18 not the same as FKS18? you having a bubble mate.

they are the exact same binding.

OP said Pivot 18 which is the same thing as an FKS 180. Learn to read before hating on others, you're just making yourself look like an idiot.
OP:If you use Din 9 and can get a deal on them, why not? It's usually the top of the Din range that you want to avoid, nothing wrong with the bottom. They won't be light but they won't break either. I'd do it.

no shit? i thought rossi was just doing a limited release with them. Every p18 ive ever seen has been the old brick, heavy as shit model.

BTW am i having a bubble? wtf does that even mean?

you realise the p18/fks has remained unchanged.

The weight is the same.

The reason they brought it back was for its burliness

Are you having a laugh is what it means.
