so basicly i jacked the idea of this thread from ghetto-prep. what evs!

theres a shit load of shitty comedians who are deemed to be "hilarious".

let me set it off...

wanda sykes, the blue collar comedy crew, richard prior, cedric the entertainer, chris rock... and a lot of other dudes. fuck em. and george lopez sucks too.

 
russell peters is the most under rated comedian ever. he's so friggin hilarious. download his comedy channel special if you can.

I agree with almost all the ones you named. Fuck the blue collar comedy. Also, D.L. Hughley...man, none of those guys are funny. Also, I have only seen ONE female comedian to ever make me laugh "histerically"

Russel Peters is funny the first time you see him. after that he just keeps repeating the same old indian this and chinese that racism comedy.

yeah i love that guy too, cept i saw him live and he repeated a lot of the jokes i already heard tho.

My buddy said if you go to one of his smaller shows at local comedy clubs he gets pretty filthy, thats what i wanna see.

mommy, i couldnt agree with you more with you. espicially on richard prior. i was so pissed that he was number one on com centrals 100 greatest stand ups. hes just like EVERY other comedian who plays on overplayed, shallow racial stereotypes and complains about how blacks are treated. all the kings of comedy sucks and i know im gonna get shit for this but, chapell show sucks dick. its all the same weak racial complaining. i dont wanna hear it

it's not that our minds have advanced, it's that societal norms were different back then than they are now. the first time you saw someone do a switch rodeo 7, you probably shit your pants, and now they're fairly standard, and even going back to watching the first one you saw now isn't near as cool as it was when you first saw it because at that time it was new and progressive, but by todays standards it's just ok. is that a better analogy?

yea it makes sense i realize that he was one of the first people to do that but still i man to be number 1? there are so many comedians better than him. George Carilin is probably the best comedian becuase he is so unique. he plays on all the ironys of society and is really intelligent, not to mention he is hilarious. besides prior appeled a lot to a small demographic. george carlin is better

i saw him live in guelph and he was hilarious, he just did improvisational comedy making fun of people in the audience the whole time. i really liked it.

yeah larry the cable guy is by far the most overrated. the only bright spot on the blue collar tour is ron white, he's sweet.

jim gaffigan is the most underrated, not many people know who he is but he is fucking awesome.

 
^ron white doesn't belong on blue collar. he's actually a funny fucker. you can tell he'd rather be drinking and smoking than on a show with two guys who became famous on one joke apiece and a guy that pretends to be a racist redneck moron.

blue collar is fuckin hilarious but i definetely agree that its overrated. Like u cant say they're not funny but at the same time they dont totally deserve all the recognition they've gotten for their tour. Theres a lot better guys out there. I have Tony Woods, Pablo Francisco, Dave Chappelle, Nick Swardson, Brian Regan, and Dane Cook on my comp and they all fucking rock. Especially Nick Swardson. Download his standup thing on comedy central. His and Tony Woods' are hilarious.

As far as I'm concerned, Denis Leary's No Cure for Cancer, which you can download from a P2P, is the best routine of all time.

Most of the people that people in here are calling underrated are actually given their due... underrated would be someone like Glen Foster, who no one outside of Canada has heard of (obviously), or Ron White, who I never hear anyone hyping.

I think Chappelle is massively overrated.
