Outdoor Carpet vs. Turf

what should i use to cover my jump and landing with? it seems like turf is harder to find and is way more expensive so i would really rather use outdoor carpet instead, but cant sacrifice any speed do to the rail im using (up down)

also, i was thinking if i would just get an x-factor jump and drill in (and/or gorilla glue) some outdoor carpet / turf on top of it that that would be a simple way to make a jump

The turf at home depot (essentially is outdoor carpet, but green) works great and is about $.40-50 per foot.
