Out of my mind: Stepups v. Reno Jib v. Halo

I'm looking to score a late season deal online or locally, and I've spent a ridiculous amount of time researching all types of park skis, but with no opportunity to demo them and online deals disappearing at any moment, I need some more advice from NS.
I'm 6' 4", 185lbs. Looking for a park only ski. Park newbie. These skis can all be had for within $50 of each other so cost is not an issue.

How would you choose? Which of these is going to let me progress fastest? Anything I may not be aware of that's important to consider between these? The Halo's rocker seem interesting, especially since they'll make buttering that much easier. I'm not sure if they'll have a (jump) size limit on them, given my size and their softness (that said, I probably won't hit this ceiling anytime soon).

Reno Jibs for sure. More traditional design so you will progress properly. I saw some kid with the Jibs buttering the fuck outta them, of lips, onto rails, it was SICK. And they have some duuurty sintered bases, which carry speed oh so nice. And they're super light.
 
Thanks for your input. Have you seen anyone riding the halo's or stepups? or are you just a big fan of the reno jibs?
 
Get the jibs for a few reasons:

1. I have heard that the step ups have a lot of issues due to the skate deck construction. Supposedly they delam easy and can get water logged. The also have a slow base.

2. The halos will ski very short due to the rocker/reverse taper.

3. The reno jibs are fully symmetrical so they will ride just as well forwards or backwards. They are put together very well. You will be supporting a smaller company. They are stiff enough to ski well but can still be buttered on. They also have fast bases.

Disclaimer: I haven't ridden these skis so take all of this with a grain of salt.
 
You are right that they are fully symmetrical( I never said they weren't...) but I didn't include that they were symmetrical because I was trying to give him reasons why I think the Reno Jibs would be best for him.
 
I have last years jibs and I recommend them for a few reasons1)VERY lightweight2) Last a very long time. They have been ridden hard and only have 3 or 4 edge cracks (pretty rare)3) very fast and poppy
have not ridden the other skis.hope this helps
 
Get Reno Jibs. Stiff underfoot, the tips and tails are a little softer. Really light ski. I've only got 1 edge crack on each ski after skiing 30 days of rails. Really fast skis, I haven't waxed mine all year and they are still just as fast as the first time I rode them. Best park ski I've ever ridden.

Step ups are heavy, stiff through out the ski.

Halo's are the softest out of those skis, and due to the rocker you will be able to butter like none other. Personally I don't like soft skis, so I probably wouldn't get them.
