If you actually want to use slot cars get carrera, I had two box sets of these when I was a kid and they are so much fun. I was always considering getting a digital 143 set but ski equipment has always come first.

Boom. Slot car racing is so fucking fun. Me and my dad custom built a huge track in our basement a few years back complete with our own custom build bridges and burms and shit like that. It was pretty damn awesome. We also had F1 cars that we raced. I had a redbull one and it was the fucking tits.
