OSX Lion

Should be out within the next few weeks now that the "Golden Master" version has been seeded to developers. Anyone early adopters in here? Anybody already have the GM, and if so do you like it? I'll probably jump on it pretty quickly, I'm stoked for it.

Every time apple releases a new os, it becomes more and more like an iPhone OS.

Not sure if I'm a big fan of the new interface/layout.

I wont be able to upgrade for a couple of months until hackintoshes support lion, but I hope i get to play with it some

Just watched the video on the Apple site and it honestly doesn't look too different or special

Yeah I mean, its doesn't look earth shatteringly different, just tweaked. But I like the sound of the tweaks I have heard about. For only $30 for 5 licenses or whatever I wouldn't really ask for much more.

I don't know what everyone else is talking about but I have gradually noticed that Logic Pro runs better after my install of snow leopard, definitely stoked for Lion. I have a feeling Apple does a lot more than updating the visuals, should be a worthy upgrade. Besides, its only $30 in the app store.... Why not?

can anyone clear up how this is going to work? there are to mac book pros in my house and how can i buy like a family pack and download to both. i used to be able to do that before these new computers and the ota updates. any help?

Once you buy it from the App Store, it will be kinda like a song you purchase on iTunes, you'll be able to download and install it again on your authorized computers without buying it again.

Just got it, there are a few changes. It's really sick though, I'm a fan of launchpad (makes your desktop like and iPad)

Duh. What are they going to say? "Oh it's not that different but pay $30 for it anyway." Of course they're going to talk it up.

It's more different than people are giving it credit for though.
