i got the ossur cti too, i have the custom version. Ossur has a warranty or something to bring it in once a year and ossur resizes it (like if you've gained more muscle/grown or whatever).
I use it for skiing, lax, wore it surfing; the brace is legit.

Do you have the custom or off the shelf version? how much did it run you? how did the asterisk work for you?

I have a pair of custom CTis. I have worn other CTis as well and if you dont have the cash to pay for customs then I would just get the regular ones. they work as equal.
The asterisk was alright . It def protected my knees, but they were pretty bulky, and have that lace system up the back is so annoying. they laces would fall down in your ski boots and always breaking or getting tangled like crazy. The other problem is the cuffs are just plastic screwed onto a fiberglass frame so its not as strong as a CTi. I was pulling up my asterisk one time and pulled the entire top cuff off the brace. And they either cut the circulation off or they slip down.
