For those that do not know...

Until this year, the Kirby Snow School..at the Oshawa Ski Club..was NOT OWNED by the Oshawa Ski Club...we in fact contracted this buisness to operate on our hill, offering Ski and Snowboard lessons to our patrons...

Short story...

and I refuse to get into detail...this was simply a business decision, and the previous operators should be commended for MANY great years of patnership with us...

The OSHAWA SKI CLUB has bought out the remaining year of the lease for this business. We DID NOT re-lease the school to anyone...but instead have brought this business IN HOUSE...much like our VERY successfull acquisition of our Rental and Pro Shop business.

The Kirby Snow School is now an Oshawa Ski Club owned and operated business.

We will be offering a competitive compensation package to qualified instructors...and since the KIRBY SNOW SCHOOL IS NOW AN OSHAWA SKI CLUB BUSINESS...look for things like free seasons passes for those meeting the required time commitment...and other employment perks not offered in past years.

In the next few weeks, information, and a date for a special introduction to the NEW Kirby Snow School will be available...

Not 100% sure if I'm actually available this year yet but since you're on here maybe you can answer a quick question.

With the OSC owning the Kirby School now, if you were working there last year, would you technically still come back this year or is everything different?
 
Well...we obviously plan to retain a number of instructors, there will be some changes, and obviously...if we have reason to believe someone was not "up to par" then they likely would not be rehired.

We are holding a "SNOW SCHOOL" info. session get together at the hill on Oct. 21st, watch our website for details www.oshawaskiclub.com Everyone is invited...past instructor or not...Come on out.
