Original/intersting edit formats

Yo NS,

We all watch a lot of ski edits, and essentially, what matters (and why we watch them) is for the skiing.

Equally, however, we all notice when an edit is really good.

It's rare to come across an original approach to filimg/editing skiing. I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are here - can we build upon that well-known edit format, and create a new style of ski edit? Or is such a progressive approach a waste of time?

Thoughts?

Interesting question, I think that it is hard to create a truly new and origional edit format but I try to imitate the parts of edits that I like and develope my own style that is a conglomerate of others ideas and styles. I am also really interested in linearity in edits, like J P 's all I can segment. I tried to make an edit in that linear, more artistic style last year ( it's in my profile) and I am planning in trying to make a few more like it this year. I also think that storytelling should play a bigger role then it does. Sorry for any typos, I'm on mobile

"well the skiing wasn't bad, but the unintelligible commentary and shitty

editing dont make this a revolutionary edit in any way."

Thanks. Did I say revolutionary? I thought I said "A bit different".

That's a nice video you have "I Go Ham" I did not look at it because it got a -8 at 136 views.

You know when someone hates on your stuff it must be alright.

I guess I'll take a look. Don't be surprised to see -9.

well jeez if you downvote me skiing ice in october, i might not make it.

Im sorry i judged your video, i wasnt trying to hate on you personally. I just didn't like it. Sorry.
