Order Power cables for 7D

whats up y'all ( I say in my best redneck accent)

So I work at a shop of some sort which I can not disclose. I will only say that its a shop and its from the future!

At this said location, I sell cameras of all sorts including a 7D which I have for personal use in teh filmakingz. To make a long story somewhat shorter... I am wondering if I should order a power cable that we use for demos and use it for my camera so I can shoot continuously when plugged.

A few issues with this:

First I wonder if its safe. I have no garantie exept the canon 1 year so if it busts because of this, Im fucked. ( however the ones at work rarely, if ever break due to this)

second: should I worry about power surges? if I have a power bar I should be fine I assume

third: I am not too sure If I can get in trouble from work and or with the company

last: I am worried that with this much power in my hands, I could just destroy the filmmaking industry as a whole... but I doubt this will happen.

Sparknotes: read the text, its interesting.... if not...should I get a power cable from work so I can film with my 7D plugged into a wall?

I don't see any reason why not. Sounds like a good idea. Just use a surge supressor for sure.

prob the same exact cables that are used in the consumer A/C adapter just varies slightly , shouldnt be a problem, people beat the crap out of those demos and thats the reason they prob die ever, i would say go for it if the store has plenty sitting around

actually you said order? i wouldnt put in an unauthorized order for this if thats what you plan on doing
