Opus v JJ stiffness

Can anybody tell me which one is stiffer? there is not a shop in my town that carries the Opus so i cant get my hands on it and check it out. Im about 5'10 185 and am trying to decide. Used to have the original EP Pros which is giving me some mental hesitation from pulling the trigger on a purchase. Thanks in advance!!

JJs are much stiffer underfoot but in the very tips and tails they are relatively soft. the opus has a more medium flex all the way through with slightly softer tips and tails. medium in comparison to the old eps which means they are still on the softer side of the medium scale. it seems like a fun flex but ive only hand flexed em so i can't give insight to the ride. JJs are stiffer though to sum it all up

The opus is much more solid than the ep pros....much stiffer tails....read the reviews....I have yet to ride the jj but everything I've heard is that it slays pow but is semi versatile whereas the opus is more versatile across the board....if ya look at scores the jj eeks out the opus cause it gets perfect pow scores but the opus is right behind it with decent scores all the way across.....the opus tries like a funner version of last years bacons if you've ridden them....more of a "go anywhere" feel.

JJ will tend to do a bit better at higher speeds in variable snow due to their stiffer flex pattern. The Opus is a dream for smaller-med cliff drops. Opus's also dominate when you need to scrub speed super quick in trees and shit.

Since you haven't skied them, you'd be amazed at how versitile the JJ really is, i've skied it for two years now and been through every condition on it and to tell you the truth, the only soft snow condition it really struggles in is at slow speed in SUPER heavy chop, but once you get them up to speed they absolutely rock in almost every condition.

The JJ has a speed limit to rival that of a turtle. You must not ski that fast when you 'get them up to speed' Ya you can ski them fast, but they ski like shit when you do.

Both skis are soft. The JJ is snappier and hand flexes a bit stiffer then the EP pro. This is due to the increased in camber in the JJ, it is not actually that much stiffer (it is a bit stiffer) both skis are playful all round powder skis. If you like skiing aggressively, look elsewhere.

My other skis are the solly rocker, and i do like to ski fast, as i love those things, but i have found in a decent time skiing them, that they respond better in tougher snow conditions when you kick the fuck out of them and drive them through the shit. If you try to finess them in that type of snow, and are not authortative and powerfull is when ur gonna have problems with that ski. Sure it deflects, but the only ski that is that fat, with tip rocker that has zero deflection that I have skied is the El Dictator.
