Option to hide name change history in profile pages?

if a mod changes it for you, it shows no history. but then you have no accountablity for what you've done in the past
 
I remember gh3ttoball3r or whatever tried to do a quick name change after he tried to scam those Frogskins, glad he couldn't change his name and disappear to scam more people.
 
This is the reason we publicly display your past names. We don't want people hiding from their past if they've screwed up

I have a question. It's not a complaint, just something I noticed. My username history doesn't show up, whether I'm looking at my profile as a guest or as me. Reason why?

I recall seeing it before, I've changed my name once.

not that i had anything to hide under my old name, just kinda weird ....
 
^yeah it only shows up the second time you change it

while its good for some people to have their history show up.... mine is just dumb

 
For what it's worth, I completely agree with this policy. Please don't change it. So many times I have looked up someone who made shitty offensive posts and found that they had changed their name. It's like they are hoping that changing their name will make people forget that they are douchebags.
