Opening day predictions

So tomorrow is Oct. 1st, the month where we generally see a few white ribbons of death popping up across the east coast. Now what is to be cared about: where will the first one pop up? Predictions? long term weather patterns developing? We just need one real good cold front and we could be skiing within a few weeks.

This is mostly just for hype, but also, I would love to see if anyone knows of any long term weather forecasters which track pressure systems and fronts which have the potential to hit the east coast.

long term weather looks dry and warm :(

I think sunday river will pull this off, but not till probably halloween

If Sunday River opens before halloween then I'll be pumped. They better get their shit together with putting up halfway decent features this year though.

Sunday River intended to blow snow a couple of weeks ago but when they flipped the switch the power circut blew.

From what I have seen, the weather pattern will be experiencing a major shift in about a week, and we may see temps cold enough for some legit snow making.. fingers crossed.

I have a feeling sunday river might open this weekend, they should be able to blow snow almost every night this week starting tomorrow.

Looks like Killy and the River are going to duke it out old fashioned style for opening first

I bet killy opens a day earlier, they are way more capable and sit at a higher (+ colder) location

And Killy takes the win opening up only 20 minutes ago to season pass/express card holders! East coast season has begun!
