its half way through the year and heres where we stand gentlemen. this is not to insult people that ride or build parks, cause im suppose to be building the park i want, but things happen slow. this list good and bad about parks ive skied in the east up to this point, and any comments to improve things should be mentioned. if we want great parks and pipes we need to communicate:

Martock

park is only 3 features. the jump is under sized and would pass for a learning table. the tranny is much too small and maintainance is a most with the undersize landing area. the box is a great feature and allows quick progression on rail principals, yet tranny problems occur again. the down rail is short, yet again gives people a chance to feel the differenc between straight and down rails. park built mid jan. a month of overdue. no difficult features.

Wentworth

lots of features. stuff is set up well and aggressive. lots of progression to be had. smooth lines are easy to come by. complainers should look at their skills before they open their mouths. lower skill levels can enjoy only few features and no tables. the table is narrow and short. even with a lack of shizzle the table handles abuse and is offering a solid landing. little maintainance on rails and can be sketchy, yet hands down the most progressive park in the atlantic. good early start, even with shit weather. big park by early jan. many features are worth sessioning all day by themselves.

Poley

lots of features on the hill. maybe too many as the constrution of all features and pipe have to be questioned. is quality better that quantity?? the park offers possible lines, yet doesnt allow a diffeicult and easy line. instead a mixture of either. why not have a diificult rail side by side to and easy talbe and vise versa. the pipe is much under vert and only allows small air and lip tricks. big hit talbe lacks any kind of tranny. two tables in the park are good kickers with good trannys yet narro. good tables though. all this and poley still offers the most features. i counted five tables 2 boxes 4 rails and 1 pipe. nothing worth sessioning hard though. good hill and tons of potential. oh ya -- park lift..sweet.

ben eion

no rails...huge factor missing. 2 jumps not tables and a hip. the jumps are step downs that are willing to give air. pipe is undervert in most spots, yet has potential. ben offers more than you may first think, but the air lip on whisky jack is the most appealing feature on the hill.

Marble

dont ski marble for park or pipe. the hill is a gem with shit loads of snow and steeps. trees are hard to find. no tables up to this point, rails and boxes are hagered setups and stick. pipe is undervert big time, yet will impprove.

crabbe, brookvale pei, smokey cape breton, white hills nfld. and sugarloaf not skied. any comments on them?

well its half way through, and we see lots of room for improvement, yet some highlights like wentworths invitation to progress. remember to voice your opinions in a mature way. people will listen.

I've been to alot of hills all over north america and I can say that the rails at wentworth are dope. They are better than some of the rails at the big hills. The jump is small like jeff mentioned but hopefully thor can get a gun in there soon. Pipe is up on Wednesday and should be dope. Rails aren't our problem...east cost biys rule on rails..it's our air sense becaus eof the hard surface and lack of terrain...we just need to be given priority to build regulation tables (which is 12 meters)...36 foot table...and that's as small as a table should actually be. Props to my boy Thor for getting us to where it is now though. Big tables seperate the men from the boys.

im glad john commented on this post before anyone else. he is the dude that has seen more than any of us and can see where we can go forward. air sense sums it up real quick...alot of don't have it, but want it. and ya thor, your shit is insane bro. you even got people in newfoundland talkin.

yea jeff, we need a change at martock bad.....i kno the hill just fully opened, but even if we could just stick a few more features in the top part of jinxs, maybe a rail, or 2 an another hit, maybe smaller because of size limitations.....but it doesn't really look too hopeful as of no that the park will improve. the pipe is much better than last year, but we need more.....i'm gonna shit myself once somethin good gets added, but till then i'll try to squeez lots outa what we've got...lates boys

I'm kinda surprised noone who skis at crabbe has come on here yet and talked about our park...I'm gonna say that i haven't seen many crabbe parks from the past but i'm buddies with guys who've been skiin there all there life and all i here is how it's probly the best park the hill has seen. We've got john (guy that showed up this season to run our rental shop) to mostly thank for that for helpin design it. We've got two nice tables. For rails a kink, kicker, C,and a straight and a couple others comin.Only problem is i think they wasted alot of space on spines and hips...NO ONE uses em.

Once all the rails get put in it'd look like a good slopestyle park, you could probly fit about 4 features into a run if u tried buutt theres not enough speed to hit both our tables in a run..it's kind of a pain in the ass..not complaining I'm glad to have the park in the shape it is but we need a whole run for our park.Hopefully we'll see it happen in the future if we get a new manager next year.Man that guy is old.

my air sense lacks horribly, short hard trannies arn't my favorite landings, and so i've never had the balls to really bust out, but i don't want to say make a small table, because i don't want it to take up space and hold back anyone, although it would keep people off big hits, and help people like me get down spins and switch takeoffs before stepping up. The box confuses me, everyday it seems different, the rail is consistent and fun. Diff. rails needed, varying features in difficulty that incorporate into lines. In other words, make it so easy stuff links to easy stuff. I know i'm not very experienced in parks and the likes, but it sounds good to me.

More features, more consistency and keep the pipe. Word.

Yeah, thanks Jodi's mom, for the blowjob... I always give in when she busts out the Werther's Originals! - Lanemeyers

I was pretty optimistic for martock when everything was first setup, but it hasn't changed at all. I am pretty bored with the features there, I've learned a lot but they are getting dull. There's only so much you can do on the down rail. About 1/2 the time I hit the table, I either overshoot the landing or hit the knuckle because the landing is so short and steep.

this is probably going to be the only time anyone hears me bad mouth crabbe but the park is flat, u need to start right from the top to make the jumps, and the hips are discusting, on the plus we have the kicker rail which is pretty cool, our curved rail is going to be set up 4 feet outta the snow, the double kink has the best set up possible, seriously, our jumps are the best they could possibly be, check out the pics on the crabbe site, our metanence is pretty good, we have iggy and me chopping rails every saturday and sunday morninga and the park is in good shape at the moment, i think its sorta cause we havent had any storms to screw stuff up, our last comp was beutifully run, we got meal tickets for a hamburger pop and fries, the jump was perfect and sleds and fourwheelers were carrying us up the hill, other than the judging that will be fixed if i can get hartwick to come up it should be all good, our scene is getting bigger and bigger with more randoms showing up everyweekend and sessioning with us, oh yah, some more bad shit, our lodge is tiny compared to poley and wentworth, but if your on this site that probably doesnt matter to u if your hamburgers deepfried, our rails have good set ups and our jumps are perfect come check it out next comp i ll make sure the prize money worth it,
