Why the fuck would you have to go and link it up like that?
Harper apparently said blood spilled, aka ww1 and 2. in which we fucked up some germans, though we did let some bad ass russians have their way. war is a fairly common occurrence, and I don't see why we can't be proud that we've gotten our hands bloody a couple times.
I'm curious as to why someone has to point out the tiniest little problem with this and blow it out of proportion, just because you don't like this "war" against the islamic jihadists or whatever in afghanistown, doesn't mean you have to tear apart something that could help a couple kids out there be proud of their grandparents who fought their legs off in some cases. I'm sure that we could overlook the slight fact that it is pro war, and stand tall for our country. As long as we know that it's propaganda, we can still support our country. This isn't the best time to get divided over something. From my point of view, which isn't very informed, I would have to say that the propaganda in the States is hugely present, like the USS whatever that sits in plain view in New York, or those fucking shirts, and few of them recognize it for what it is. Now, hopefully in Canada, we are mindful of that, but we shouldn't let a little debate tear us apart. There are thousands of different ideals in this country, but there are times where we all have to come together. I think we like debate a little too much in this country. And we are all trying so hard to look smart that we tear each other's opinions apart, even thought they may be damn good, just for the sake of tearing them apart, not even to promote some constructive criticism.
