My friend just said this to me and I honestly don't know how to respond. I have never heard this before and I have found nothing through google or le searchbar. What do you guys think?

That's what I tried to ask my friend, however he is pretty insistent on the fact that only snowboarders where billed helmets.

YO TOTALLY TREVOR WEARS A BRIM HELMET AND HE'S SUPER FUNNY AND INTERNET COOL SO I THINK IT'S COOL OK?

Alex.. Tristan Chloewick much?? He has a billed helmet and he wears a hat under it AND he skis AND he's sponsored by LINE

I don't like brimmed helmets, is your friend saying it's bad that skiers don't wear them? I tihnk its good

Are any of those brimmed helmets real or are they just pieces plastic to create the illusion of a helmet but won't do anything to help you?

I've actually had mine save my face twice. Went face first into a stairset once, and the brim was the first thing to hit. I felt the entire helmet flex, and I'm certain that it saved my from a busted nose or hitting my face on it.

so fuckin many people used to have the giro g10 mx. I guess thats a visor, not a brim, but pretty close

/\oh yea and smith makes a few with them too. probably see those more from bc skiers rather than park skiers but still.

The main issue with brimmed helmets for skiing is when you get going fast the air gets under the brim and it try's to pull the helmet up off your head. Does not affect borders so much as they have there head on more of an angle as they stand sideways but they are not ideal for skiing.
