Has any one else heard of this? Seems pretty interesting. I guess they already have a phone floating around for beta testing and what not.

It looks promising, but I would never buy the first run of it just because of how many bugs/missing features there would be.

The OS is essentially a rooted version of android (cyanogen mod)

Quad core 2.5 Ghz processor

3 Gb RAM

13 megapixel camera (4k video, 720p@120 fps)

specs are nice, looking forward to see how it actually performs.

the all of the press reviews came out in may, you still cant buy the phone for at the 300 dollar price publicly, the phone isnt real, they arent actually intending to sell it widely, it doesnt take apple or samsung or anyone three months + to produce enough copies of a finished phone to sell

they are selling the phone privately to people that signed up to test it right now. I still dont know much about it, but to me it seems like they are just doing beta testing. They are a new company. They have never made a phone before, it would make sense that it is taking them a little bit longer to perfect everything compared to a huge company that produces top quality phones like samsung or apple.

Good you write like a fucking graham cracker.

the tech sounds great, but its not about the phone itself anymore. it is the community that keep people buying apple year after year.

It gets decent reviews (or really good reviews for the price) but some people are complaining about the CyanogenMod skin os, they say its still a little glitchy

I didnt even realize that you bought it unlocked and without a contract. For 300 dollars, that's a game changer .

Although not really considering the amount of basic ignorant people that buy a phone because it has an apple on it.

its not a game changer, the tech is nothing exceptional at that price point, you can get a moto x and a nexus 5 for the same amount unlocked. If they were moving millions of units you might have an argument but they have sold a grand total of a 6 of these and that is not a game changer

... the nexus 5 is more expensive and inferior to the One in every aspect.

you didnt read those reviews that were previously posted, did you?

I did read the reviews.

Except I can go to the google play store right now and purschase one

well your previous post says otherwise...

You could go sign up for the forums and get invited to purchase one in a couple of days...

Youre hating just to hate. Im pretty sure you know nothing about the phone except the fact that its not available for purchase yet. Hopefully Harvard teaches you to do some research before talking out of your ass.
