I've just been accepted to the national exchange at U of U for next year, I plan on gettin some pow pow sticks. As of now I only own some Line Anthems, so I def need something that can handle powder and big mtns better. Any suggestions? Also, for those of you rock rockered skis, does it make pow shredding A LOT easier and more fun?

yeah it makes it so much more fun. how much pow, park, or all mountain are you looking to ride? or actually the question is which area would you be riding?

well since i feel my anthems are great on the EC for park and all-mountain i was lookin for a much more pow oriented ski, ive just never tried the whole rockered thing... it looks like it would make pow soo much more fun but it looks like they must really awkward to ride on groomers

ON3Ps, Hellbents, JJs, Lines, etc...

Do you want a playful, switch friendly pow ski or something designed more for charging?

Demo'd Volkl Katanas, Kuros, and Bridges the other day.

Katanas and Bridges absolutely bomb through anything. Katanas are also redesigned for next year. If I remember what I heard correctly, rocker(Or early rise) + lighter (believe they took the titaniam out). Katanas were crazy fun and held edge real well. I jumped on my Scratches after demoing, given my edges aren't best I was litearlly floating through turns and couldn't stop, I had no idea the mountain was even icy with the Katanas and Bridges since I hadn't ridden my skis that day yet.

If you wanna go for a 1 ski quiv. grab the Bridges, no changes from this years if you wanna save money, but without a doubt the best 10' ski i tried on demo day. (Did about 10-12 others). Definitely getting a set next year and selling off my current skis. They're fun and soft, semi-wide, yet had one of the best edge hold and didn't chatter at speeds whatsoever despite the softer flex.

Oh also, solly S3 was pretty dope, but I'd go with the Katanas over them. Much more stable through crud/ice and at higher speeds.

What kind of skier are you? hard charging lines or into jumping around, jibbing in pow, etc? How tall and fat are you? do you like stiff skis or soft skis?

I would definitely say im more of "jumping around, jibbing in pow" kind of guy. I gess I like my skis soft since im cruisin on Anthems this year, but as for Utah pow slashing idk if a soft ski is the way to go
and im:5'7"140lbs

I am 6'3 160, and I like softer skis, i like charging and jibbing around.
I would 100 percent, without a doubt buy a rockered ski if I were you. Something like the Hellbent (which is the best ski ever made) or the Bibby (which I have not skied, but have heard many many good things about) or the BentChetler (same as the bibby) would be a good bet. Soft skis are fine in Utah. Those three are sorta middle of the road soft, I would not ever want to ski a EP pro personally unless it was untracked snow (and they were longer) but that's just me... i know a lot of people that love them and they would be plenty big for your height and weight.
In short, buy a softer double rockered ski and you won't regret it. I ski rockered skis (hellbents or my ON3P Jeronimos) literally every day, park, hardpack, chop, pow, slush, whatever, and I love them.
