One run from Japan

The peak of Niseko Annupuri opened for the first time the other day so we headed up early, we were super lucky it was open as the wind was insane on the ridge and the single chair up got shut soon after we got off it. I actually got blown over on the hike up, and had some good frostnip on my face. It was worth the hike though, the top section was windblown and fast, and in the trees was light and pretty deep. Seems like it was deeper today, but nice to be one of the first down for the year.

Seems to be more and more ns'ers coming to Niseko, so if anyone needs any info, give me a shout, I have been working here for 7 seasons now, pretty busy in the days but normally keen for a night ski if it looks good.

I was going to hate you for making a thread about your video. However, that was sick. Makes me miss Japan.

Haha, cheers, was expecting hate as not only did I make a thread about my video, but I also didn't even make the thread right!
 
I have heard mixed reviews but what is japan like during mid march? I might go there for spring break.

Niseko is really low, so it starts to warm up by March, there are still powder days, but not as consistently as in Dec/Jan/Feb. It's still good skiing, but if you are coming for pow then you might be disappointed. However you'd probably still have a great time.
