One of Those Days 3 Is OUT!!

Umm, can we all agree that Candide just solidified his place in the highest ranks of skiing with this video? I don't think there is a single piece of terrain that he couldn't ski no matter if it was grass, ice, snow, or you name it.

This just made my PTSD act up again......when I was little I was trapped in a burning building and saw only fire.......Now after watching a video of only fire for four minutes and forty nine seconds I dont know if I will ever be able to handle anymore fire....Candide Thovex is a legend!!!!

Also, I'm curious as to how much of it is CGI? I obviously know that Candide is a savage and that most of it is real, but I know he's been known to add in some extra effects here and there in some of his recent videos. For example, hucking through a window, landing on grass after a double cork?

These are honest questions and I'm not trying to nitpick, I'm genuinely curious.

Either way, the dude is beyond legendary.

not CGI. glass was no doubt sugar glass, and the sound effects were added, but otherwise I'm pretty damned sure it's all real.
 
Dope tunnels. Am I the only one who is skeptical watching this after all the CG in the last one? I feel like it ruined it a bit. Just a bit though.
 
It was sick, but I have to say that I would love to see another Kandide Kamera. I love watching him destroy big mountain so more of that would be really cool. That being said, this was awesome.
 
bugs me that it feels like it is not filmed with superview, u can barely see his skis, feels like he is losing a lot of important visual perspective. "The more view you have, the more immersive the video."

It's funny watching people on facebook flipping shit at how 'fake' it is... It's more real than OOTD2...

Like in the TGR post comments people are circlejerking about how the heli gap must be edited because the helicopter blades would suck him in, all clearly forgetting that helicopters don't have to be running at full speed

I dunno man. I've watched it over and over and I think it would just be easier to actually do the shot than make it on a computer. And it's not like he's lacking the skill to actually do it. What part do you think is computer generated?
 
Video is sick as always but...and I will surely get downvoted for this, but....

Candide is probably the best skier in the world. Arguably the best skier in history. I just want to watch him ski. The effects and the random cuts just detract from the edit for me. I completely understand given the scope of the views it will get (3 mil on the first, 18 mil on the second) that the market is much, much bigger than just skiers, so I get making it as grandiose as possible, but as a skier, just give me Candide. I don't need him going through a CGI window to be impressed. Still an amazing video.

Candide needs to make a "lets get a fucked up amount of views from the entire world" edit and a "hey ski community check out the fucked up shit I can do without all the special editing" edit.

Ok I watched it in higher quality then the 240p I can stream in. The scene was real, definitely. But I do now see that there wasn't any glass in the window and the refuse that fell was CGI.

I think we as devoted skiers have to learn to accept the fact that this video isn't for us. With OOTD 2 Candide broke out of skiing outgrew his audience, he's staring Audi commercials and getting mentioned on CNN. I have people I work with who don't even ski posting his videos on my Facebook wall months after they come out.

This video, with all it's fancy cuts and CG, is a view magnet. Non-skiers might think someone doing a flippy spinny thing is cool, but jumping over a helicopter is going to make their jaw drop. It's absolutely captivating from start to finish because of the cheezy Hollywood shit, and that's what gets people sharing it over and over again.

No one's done anything quite like this, or gotten this much exposure. Candide is in uncharted territory and I can't imagine what's next. As a skier I agree with you, I hope he dials back on the effects and does one for us, I just don't see it happening though.
 
I don't get why everyone is so hyped about it, massive disappointment

The entire thing felt so fake and edited, the best thing about the one of these days was how raw it felt, this video lacked that entirely.

Like ya cool he did a 360 over a helicopter, not like every single other pro skier could do that
