I've discovered recently that I'm just 'one of the guys' among my guy friends. Originally that's what I thought I wanted. Now I'm not so sure because (and I hate to say it being 'one of the guys' but) I happen to adore one guy in the group. This poses a problem for me, doesn't it...

HELP!!!

Yeah... normally I'd agree with you, but I don't. And I'll tell you why: you don't just tell your best friend how fantastic you think they are when they are your BEST FRIEND! And, if he shares my feelings (which I know he doesn't because I know all the girls he thinks are hot and I'm not on that list because I'm one of the guys...) it would be messed up because if things ended badly, I wouldn't just loose one friend, I'd loose maybe... 10.

Then take one for the team dude, forget about it. I've done it before. Sometimes you have to sacrifice that for the good of everything else. Wait until you can make a move. I dunno, hell, why is everybody on this site so damn obsessed with being in a relationship anyway? At this age it's all gonna fall apart and break up within a year or so anyway so why bother? Just keep your friends.

Tim I dont think I could agree more with anything you just said there...sometimes thats life and as shitty as it is you cant do much about it. Maybe you have to just enjoy what you have now.

that's why you have to meet people outside your regular 'group'. i just recently broke up with the girl i had been dating for about 9 months.. but that hasn't stopped me from going out and having a good time with new people. as i see it, who knows what may come about the next time you meet somebody, so there's no sense in being cynical about it. hearts will be broken, but you will find with more breakage, the recovery time begins to shrink. of course, this is speaking from only my experience.

Faoda I know where your coming from and I've been there basically my whole life. You really got figure out what means more to you.. the friendship or confessing whats on your mind... If he doesnt feel the same way then you might screw up your friendship cause things will turn awkard.. been there done that!! So you just need to know whats important to you.. maybe talk to some of the other guys and a get a feel for whats being said behind your back, ud be surprised! OR things could work out in your favour and find out that hes been harbouring the same feelings but just to scared to tell you. It all depends on whether or not you wanna take a chance and risk the friendship.

well why don't you try and make him see you as something other than 'one of the guys'? people see you how you want them to see you. and if you don't wanna do that then just do what tim said and forget about it.

if you two are good friends, it shouldn't make a difference to tell him how you feel about him. even if he doesn't feel the same way. you never know how he feels about you, just because he doesn't include you in the list of girls he likes, he could still have mad feelings for you. just go for it, you'll regret it if you don't. i don't really know you two, but i think things can only be better between you if you tell him. if he's not mature enough to stay friends with you for saying you're into him then he doesn't deserve you anyway.

#1. Drunken sexual appeal(never fails).

#2. guys don't usually bounce on the friendship kuz a girl likes him... if anything may make his ego go up, or if hes mature, he'll handle it lightly and keep the friendship.. i say you should maybe talk about it with someone else in the 'group' because maybe the feeling and worries are mutual?

Yeah, he's mature. He's very bright. He needs to have things like when someone likes him spelled out for him because otherwise he won't get it, but yeah, he's pretty mature and pretty bright. But yeah, I could also ask one of the other guys.

caden's advice is the best. even if the guy denies you you won't lose him as a friend. if anything that would make him see you as a sexual being for the first time and who knows what that could lead to in the long run. maybe they'd hook you up with some other cool guy and they'd definitely all help you ward off any guy you didnt like.

girls in situations like this have so much power. there's only 2 possible problems which i have encountered - 1) when more than one of the guys wants you and you don't want any of them 2) when interested guys with potential don't approach you because they're intimidated by all your guy friends.
