One of our own really needs some help

If you’ve ever watched a Traveling Circus episode and enjoyed it, you have Shane McFalls to thank. The entire vibe that the show was built on was him, and with his sarcastic dry sense of humor that was way too endearing I’ve always enjoyed his company.

Shane’s 2 year old son was recently diagnosed with a form of leukemia. As a parent I can’t imagine the terror him and his wife are feeling right now. Please help take one of the scary parts away in helping them with his medical bills so that they can focus on supporting their son physically and emotionally.

Please, if you’ve ever watched a TC episode just think of it like you’re paying for one of them. Every little bit helps, and this community has always taken care of their own.

Donated, appreciate you letting us know.

LTC is the best representation of what we love about the sport, let's get together as a community and help the homie out

Donated, I hope his son gets through this, I can't imagine what this would be like for his son and Shane and his wife. I love TC and all the edits Shane has put out with Yoke too. He's my favorite filmer

Donated. Damn. Wishing the absolute best to his son - kid will power through. Huge ups to Shane for adding so much to the community and wishing his family the best.

easiest donation ever, Yoke and LTC are some of my favorite edits ever and inspired everything from my skiing to music tastes. Hope Soren, Shane and their familiy makes it through this ok.

Also, and maybe it's just me, but I feel the sticky thread might actually attract less viewers than if it were in the normal list? I'm sure the admins have some stats to see if that's accurate, but when looking at threads I personally don't really pay attention to the sticky threads and just look at the main list, which is where I first noticed this very thread, and then I struggled to find it again as it's now a sticky. But again, maybe it's just me.

Done. My brother was was diagnosed with lukemia last August and is now doing well after a multiple rounds of chemo. It’s fucking scary as hell, so much uncertainty, change and emotions. You guys got this!

bump for more views! I can't give a ton but every bit helps. TC was always such a highlight of High School procrastination, one of my all time favorites. Best of luck!

Donated all I could afford during these times. I can’t imagine what they’re feeling.

Also, let me take this time to encourage everyone to register with Be the Match. You could save someone’s life. I saw it save my best friend’s life.

Done. LTC was always an ensemble but without Shane's touch I don't think it would have ever had quite the impact it did. No one deserves something like this but especially not someone who spent so much time making people laugh at and appreciate the love of skiing. Hang in there Soren!

What this community is all about. Great people, terrifying card to be dealt and every bit goes a long way.

Donated.

And accidentally created a similar thread....can a mod delete mine, please?

Thanks for doing this Logan! Shane is such an awesome dude, and the LTC episodes he produced were so incredible and unique in ski media at the time. Such an authentic, relatable, and artistic, without being pretentious, style of filmmaking.

Everybody rally around the family!

I agree

First I time I've ever donated to one of these campaigns. Super stoked that this is the one I'm first giving to.

For all the toxic stuff on newschoolers it's so awesome to see a thread of nothing but positivity and support for a great cause.

From Shane's sister Kelsey:

"It is unbelievable that we've had 700+ supporters in just a few days and it is truly impossible to sufficiently articulate the full scope of our gratitude. Thank you!

As some of you may know, treatment for Leukemia occurs in phases, usually lasting 2-3 years. Your support will be a tremendous help as Allie, Shane, Teagan, and Soren embark on this long, unpredictable journey. Thanks to each of you, we're almost a quarter of the way to our goal!

UPDATE: Soren was able to come home yesterday and was most excited to reunite with his sister (Teagan) and cat (Fleetwood). He will continue weekly trips to Dartmouth for chemotherapy over the next month but will have some of his labs completed at home with the help of a traveling nurse. In addition to everything else on their plates, Allie and Shane have also taken on the task of administering twice daily medicine and flushing Soren's IV tubes. (Neither of which are easy or fun for anyone involved.)

Please continue sharing (AND re-sharing) this campaign to help us reach our goal. Every single dollar helps and will sincerely make a world of difference to Shane, Allie, Teagan, and Soren. Thank you!"

Please consider helping out Soren, Shane & the McFalls family by donating if you can: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-soren-become-a-cancer-survivor/

Donated! We’ve got the best family in sports! Help anyway you can. We’ve all benefited from the Traveling circus!

A gigantic thank-you from myself and our family. Watching the ski-community rally around us has been so unexpected and really appreciated. I was nervous about asking for help and seeing the support of my favorite ski friends, people I've skied with on the other side of the world, and folks that I've never even met is a wicked cool feeling during a very scary time. Thank you, for reals. - Shane

Coming from Europe, even if I lived in the US for a while, I still find it insane that it costs that much. I really hope you guys get enough money for his treatment.

I live a town over in Vermont. I wish there was more I could do to help since I'm so close but I have no idea how to get in touch with the family. I'll keep donating tho. Fuck cancer.

An auction has been set up for continued support for Soren's treatment. The auction has multiple pairs of retro/OG Line Skis put up by J Lev himself, among other things.

For example, these (priceless) unmounted 1260's.

Check out the auction here:
