One hard qustion

So my mom desided that if I wanted a new camara. I can for my christmas present. Now I'm stuck with what I should get. Now I know these camaras don't come with all the assesories they should but after I get the camara I will buy any assories I really need or want on ebay for a cheaper price. Keep in mine my mom dosen't want to spend more than 1000$.

Desion one the gl2 for Cannon I'm very comfortable with this camara and plus Evan can help me with settings if needed cheack it out.

Second chose the VX2100 from Sony Nick has this camara and can help me with settings also this is a very great camara. Cheack it out.

Now the thrid chose the dvc from Panasonic Niether Nick or Evan have this camara so messing with the settings migth be hard but also Then I will have a different form of footy. So cheack this one out.

two kids i know have the vx2100, solid cam they both love em, they are really nice, i gotta to use one, it was pretty easy, but keep in mind youll have to learn how to use it good tho or else the footy will just be okay

I'd love to have a christmas present like that but my parents ain't rich hahah.

Anyways, the vx2100 is deff a sick camera.

But the GL2 is deff another sick camera.

I just don't know what to say man. Whatever camera you get it'll be sick.
 
i asked my cuzan ho is a cameraman and he said the Canon GL2 is a better camera it also has a better optical zoom than the Panasonic .he uses canon DVs for all of his stuff but if you are spending that much would it not be better to go for a HD camera ?

 
The GL2 has much better optical zoom and optical image stabilization than the DVC30. It also has more color saturation in the picture (which will be nice if you're not doing any color timing). The VX is a better camera in low light. It all depends on what you're looking for, but I'd say the GL2 is the overall superior camera.
