ON3P presale & prices

Looking to pick up next year's Jmos (skis are looking so ill!) and had a few questions.

First of all is there even going to be a presale this year? For some reason I thought I heard in one thread that there is a chance there won't be.

Second, does anyone remember what the presale prices, particularly on the Jmo, were last year? And are we looking at these skis staying at the same price they are now? Just trying to gauge what the bill's gonna be; gotta budget dat money.

+k for help with any of these.

Looking forward to hopefully joining the ON3P owners club!

they didnt have to do it in the first place. they did it to get their name out. since now they have our attention and can sell skis at the prices no matter what they dont really have to do a presale

No brick and mortar ski shop wants to take up space on the wall in their store if the manufacturer is going to be undercutting them with direct sales. It's just the reality of business.

they did it so they could generate revenue to buy materials to build skis. now that they are a more established business, they dont really need to do presales anymore

ON3P Spring Sale starts today and ends April 30th. These are the cheapest our skis will be available new. We have pretty limited inventory left. For those looking at jmos, they are on sale now for $449 (171cm & 181cm). Full pricing list will be posted on the website in a few hours.

There is not going to be a public presale for 2012/13. Sorry but it is just a product of our growth and our move into some of the best retail locations around. As was stated above, with the addition of a number of new retail locations next season we cannot be undercutting our dealers! After 3 years of presales, we are ready to see our production cycle change to something a little bit more...sane.

We will be announcing our full range of new retailers soon, but so far expect to see our skis on the walls at some of the best shops around:

evo - Seattle, WA

Next Adventure - Portland, OR

Hillcrest - Gresham, OR

Sports Creel - Spokane, WA

Ph. D. Skis - Bozeman, MT

Fresh - Calgary, AB

The Skier's Sport Shop - Edmonton, BC

Custom Ski & Board - Kelowna, BC

Wilderness Exchange - Denver, CO

Ski Center - Washington D.C.

Outdoor Gear Exchange - Burlington, VT

Skistore.SE - Göteborg, SE

Along with a full demo fleet at:

AMR Ski & Board Shop - Breckenridge, CO

Next Adventure - Portland, OR

Several other retail locations are still in the works as well!

If anyone has any questions about the current sale or where our skis will be available next season, just email us at info@on3pskis.com. Thanks!

Ahh now the real question is whether to buy next years Jmos, or save $200 and buy this year's.

Awesome to hear that you guys are doing so well, though. Bummed about the lack of a presale but I guess business is business...

Thanks for the help and info everyone!

Please explain to me how to get to Edmonton BC, would love to go there to check out the skis.

On the other hand, no retailers in Whistler or Vancouver, WHY?

Whistler/Vancouver has one of the biggest ski/outdoor scenes in North America. Whistler should be among the first two-three spots to look for a retailer for any ski company.

Bah my bad. The Skier's Sport Shop in Edmonton, AB.

As for whistler/vancouver, it is an area we definitely are looking at and have talked to several retailers, but nothing has come together as of yet. Hopefully soon!

wait, golden is more then a truck stop? sure didnt look like it when I was there 4 or 5 years ago..

Aha....it's actually quite the ski scene, I'd hope people would know that though. I can see the BG and Wren being quite successful there, along with touring setups (skis and layups)

i would love to take my og wrens and next years BG's to kicking horse, last time I was there i was on public enemies and still had a blast, so much crazy terrain

I was wondering if it's just a swedish stockist for next year? or is there any more european distributors?

threads. Seriously considering making the trip from BC down to Seattle or Oregon to check out a pair of on3p's. Anybody know if I will get charged duty if I were to order a pair of the skis online? That could prove to be very costly..

I'm also curious as to whether anyone could offer any suggestions as to the perfect on3p "do-it-all" ski.

I'm a big guy (6'4, 240lbs) with a racing background. I've been skiing park, pow and groomers for years and recently started to mess around in the park and jib features all around the mountain. I am by no means a park rat and only resort to skiing park when the fresh snow and glades are tracked out. That being said, I would ideally like to be set up on a ski that is close to a true twin that will allow me to hold an edge while skiing switch down hardpack and also be able to ski switch through some light, fluffy pow. Based on my own interpretations of the dimensions of the on3p skis, I am leaning towards either a 191 Caylor or a 186 Jeffrey. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

There is no duty on skis imported into Canada that are made in the US. If you ARE charged a duty, email me and I will provide you with the information you need to send to the government to get your charged duty refunded. I've had to do this a few times now.

There is import taxes. We lessen the cost of the skis when we ship them to help lower your costs when you receive them. From what we've seen, it is hit or miss if you are charged anything tax wise when importing.

Shipping is around $45-55 US. We only ship usps up there so there are no brokerage fees.

Where are you skiing? At your size, I would say 191cm Caylor. You would over ski the 186cm Jeffrey in powder with a racing background.

I wouldn't count out the 191cm BG too. If you have park skis and are comfortable doing minimal park on soft snow days, the BG is going to be more suited to a racing-style turn shape than the caylor, which is more centered and balanced.

thanks everyone for the advice.

Iggyskier: I predominantly ski what we call here on Vancouver Island "powder" although others who come here like to jokingly call it the west coast cement. On an average day I would guess I ski something along the lines of 60% powder/ 30% park/10% groomers and hardpack.

I'm in agreement with you that the 186 Jeffrey would likely be too short for me. Out of curiosity does ON3P plan on adding a 191 size to the Jeffrey next year? Also I'm wondering which of the three skis (Jeffrey, Caylor and Billy Goats) is the stiffest?

Thanks once again.

light, snappy, poppy, stable, playful (because of the rocker), stiff enough to stomp big jumps. I have yet to find a ski I can butter better then the FR or blue steele

They're pretty light and playful ("flexy") but still stable. Butters on them are no problem at all, but you don't feel wash on big jumps like some other "flexy/soft" skis. They're really the perfect flex.

threads, either gonna build my own skis this summer, or pick up some jeffreys. want that bamboo veneer soooo badly

sorry for double post, but Scott, PLEASE get some ON3P shirts made! just nice and simple name and logo tees would be so sick.
