I know that there are some threads about these magical looking contraptions but I really must see these in action.

Newschoolers is the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful eyes, ears, gluts, and dicks of the ski-universe.

Somebody hit me with a video of these rage-units slicing cold frozen earth.

Perhaps ON3P will pop in a grace us with the answer! Outrageous comapny, love this shit.

How did those work out? Seems like the tips and tails would catch a lot. Also Zai makes the exact opposite ski.

They actually skied better than they look. There only spot where they become really unenjoyable is traversing. That is tough. We ripped around on groomers and in the park on them with no issues. Just don't do any sort of crossing grab as the tips are prone to getting stuck.

We'll probably keep modifying the tips to be more refined and continue skiing them. They were obviously made to be as exaggerated as possible when we first pressed them, but we can also modify them as we go.

Funky idea for sure. thanks a bunch for the pics and vid.

They definitely look like they would be fun to test out. Cant wait for the next kooky idea you guys cook up

Wouldnt a smoother longer shape for the tips and tail work better? Something like this

I dream day about making a ski like that but I live on the icy side and it would be kind of pointless.

That is the way we are going to modify it as we go. It's built so we can change the shape as we see fit.

did you design the oar to have a slimmer waist but still wanted a ski that floated like a 115+mm waisted ski in deep snow?

Rowen can add more, but the thinking was a ski that would float while letting you get deeper in softer snow. With really wide skis, you stay on top of deep snow. Rowen wanted to get in the snow more without losing all the float.

thank you

Wide skis like the pillowfight and hellbent float you on top of almost everything, be in two inches or two feet. It's fun, but how could you make a ski that still floats and wants to find the surface is the snow, yet is flexible and springboardish enough to let you land large cliffs without hucksplatting and bury the underfoot deep mid-turn?
