ON3P Kartel 108 edges not sharp from factory, beveled. Normal?

I'm guessing it's OK and by design, but I've always thought I'd die on icier days with dull edges so I just wanted to check with you guys. My Armadas came pretty damn sharp.
 
We detune our skis how we recommend they be skied at the factory. Everything comes with a 1x1 ceramic edge tune - then we do a heavier detune from tip to contact points, then a gummi between contact points.

Most brands are sending their skis out with basically no detune - hence why our edges feel not sharp by comparison. This is how we find they ski best.

Is there any chance you will release a tutorial video on your park detune? I'd love to be able to put badass detunes on park skis that come through my shop. I see a lot of cracked edges in Mammoth but the homies on Magnus' don't really deal with those issues.

i thought of it as a podcast when i was at work. just threw it on and listened. Dom is a legend (films all the real laps at Mt Bachelor)
 
Question for you guys. Is the notch mark/ short dash on the Kartels the boot center point? or sole center? Trying to figure out what to tell the tech.

The notch on the left sidewall is our recommended mounting mark.
