Hey guys - a pair of 186 or 181 (I don't remember at the moment) ON3P Jeronimos was stolen at the Alta demo a week and a half ago.

They are literally the only pair of 13 - 14 Jeronimos in UT with next year's graphic on them, so if you see this graphic, they do not belong to whoever is riding them:

Thanks for keeping an eye out. reward will be... rewarded.

Damn, hate to hear that. Assuming it wasn't someone actually demo'ing them since you'd have their credit card imprint. I test drove a pair of Caylors that day and had a blast, hate that assholes have to ruin the experience for vendors. There is a special place in hell for ski/bike thieves.

You'd get eyeball juice all over your pole, better not.

Moving this here as nobody reads the UT regional right now.

fucking hell. i can see why they would want to steal them! they are some of the best graphics and skis! but still, what cunts for taking them

i would shit on their faces if i saw them

Dem graphics doe... What a dick that guy is for stealing them though. I don't live in UT. But if I did, and I saw him, ooooooooooo boy. I'd ask him to kindly return them.

I like how people think they can get away with stealing next years stuff...dumbest idea ever. I hope they turn up.

So you mean there's a fucking guy who's got those crazy skis back in his garage ?And he's the only one because this ski was produced only once ?? This guy has to be feeling unique...

Sorry can't help, i'm in Europe.

This literally blows my mind.

>Ski company gives free rentals of skis with no information of who the skier is

>Ski company expects to get skis back

>Skier steals skis

...

Literally the only time I'd be stoked to see a double pole plant.

At least they are easy to recognize and there are lots of eyes peeled. What binders are on them?

I'm borderline offended that you think we'd be that dumb!

We were at a demo at alta. There are people asking for skis and bringing skis back so fast that we can't keep up. They all have official demo cards and have agreed to pay for skis that aren't brought back, or damages.

At the end of the day, the skis are gone, and there's one card left - but it's a crappy piece of paper that's wet and wrinkled by the end of the day, and the person has no use for it anymore. This dude didn't think it mattered.

We contacted him, he swears he didn't ever take them out. I'm 90% certain that's true, because if the dude is who I think it was (Hard to know in ski gear) I helped him with bindings on a pair of 186 Jeffreys and a pair of 181 Caylors. He came back with the Caylors with a big smile on his face saying they were perfect, and now he had to find a way to afford them, and left.

We COULD charge the dude for them. He signed a contract. But, we confronted him in person and he was really adamant that it wasn't him. He works at a ski shop somewhere up LCC, just a dude trying to ski as much as he can.

He could be lying, but we try to not assume people are out to get us.

There's a pile of skis in the back of the booth and we're trying to help people go have fun on them. It's likely they got yanked behind our backs, it would honestly be pretty easy to do.

Yea, sorta, it's just a little card. but it was a crappy, soggy wrinkled piece of paper by the end of the day. This just goes to show that we need to be more adament about making sure that our tent is more secure and people are getting their cards back.

Then I'm afraid it's ON3P's fault Trevor.

Sure that guy should have gotten his card back, but if you're sure it's not him then it doesn't really matter.

You shouldn't have used a system like that if it's not going to work, guard your shit and slow it down if it's too high paced.

Well, Of course that's the truth of it dude, we're not trying to place blame or justify what happened.

Scott just wants his skis back, really. Hopefully this thread helps!

As someone who works at alta, this is kinda hard to swallow, really wouldnt expect anyone to do that here. But, as we are open the next three days ill keep my eyes peeled for em. Hope you guys can track em down.

Skied there for 4 seasons, I wouldn't either. We were honestly really surprised when it happened.

I find this slightly odd. Then is it always the wronged party's fault that they got robbed? So if someone cracks my skull open and steals my skis, it's my fault for not having a harder skull or not being better at protecting myself? ON3P got robbed, they're trying to get their ski's back, stop being a douche about it.

You're exaggerating slightly, it'd be equivalent to intentionally softening your skull and handing somebody a baseball bat recommending they beat you.

My point is of course it's not their fault, but it could have been avoided if they had organized it better.

Fair enough, but maybe you should'nt have said that it was their fault then. Just saying.

In Danish we have a saying, which basically says that a little bit of exaggeration will get the point across.

Yeah we have that too, can't remember what the f it is haha. I was just in Denmark, 5$ for a coke?! Some things are insane there haha.

It does get quite pricy here. When I studied in Sheffield, the pound was really low and the Danish kroner was strong, so I was fucking living it up!

7 posts above:"Then I'm afraid it's ON3P's fault Trevor."

People are shady around here. A car was broken into and 3 of next year's snowboards got stolen in Cottonwood heights last week.

Why dont you just change the graphic for the 2014 jeronimos so then this guy will be the ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD to have them. Should make him easier to find. Because if i saw this and i was him i would hide them intill 2014 when everyone else has em. Anyway ill look out for them down in NZ

People who do this shit are generally stupid. Like the kid who posted his next year's Afterbangs and tried to tell everyone he was a sponsored athlete. Line was on here within an hour and it was hilarious.

I remember when Bobby's Redbull helmet was stolen at COC then when fall came around the kid tried to sell it ahahah

Then again, I'm not sure if ON3P does it with their skis, but the skis could very well be stamped with a unique serial number. Maybe Scott or Trevor could post it up if they know of it?

this is literally the same system used at every demo around the country. ppl show up in the morning, sign paper work and register, usually they leave behind an ID or credit card as collateral, they get their demo card, bring demo card back at end of day and get id/cc back.

its not as easy to keep track of 30+ pairs of skis when about 100 diff ppl all wanna demo them in about a 4 hour time span with only 1 or 2 guys working the tent.

the fact that more skis arent stolen from big on hill demo days is a miracle.
