Money is not an issue.

I’m 20 years of age, 5’7” 140lbs and have been riding the recoils and punx for a several seasons now. I’m aggressive and like going fast and especially like tree skiing at jay peak and eastern resorts.

From what I heard the jefferey is a stiffer SFB, however I want to know what it is like in the glades of the Northeast? Does it have that short turn, smeariness like the sfb?

Get the Jefferies they are so fun and also super durable. I have a pair and I have also ridden the SFBs and I like the Jefferies more.

they're pretty different skis. I have last season's Jeffrey, at 110 underfoot, so if the characteristics have changed considerably for this year, disregard this, but I doubt they have. I'm 6'1" and have the 186. Friends of mine have bacons in 185 and 178, so I've got a good basis for comparison. Outside of the park, I tend to ski aggressively, looking for transition everywhere and finding stuff to jump off of. The bacons do not feel nearly as stable to me as the Jeffrey does. The bacon turn radius is much tighter, but I've never felt the jeffrey to be sluggish or hard to maneuver. It's super easy to smear a turn, and the added stiffness and longer radius vs the bacon makes it much more stable at speed on both groomers and variable snow. not saying one is definitely better than the other, but I prefer the jeffrey for how/where I like to ski.
