ON3P FR vs Jmo

I'm wondering what the owners of these skis think about them and how they compare to each other. Thanks for the contributions.

Cant speak for the FR but my buddy Crispy can along with many others (I'm sure he can post in here later).

I have the Jmos and ski Granite Peak wisconsin. Lots of ice and it does exceptionally well.

I switched from the K2 Domain to more of an all mountain twin even though I do 70% park. I have found the Jmo to be the best ski I have been on ever. Really durable/fast base, very poppy ski and the rocker makes the ski feel buttery even though it is stiffer than something like the Domain or in your case the FR.

On hardpack it carves like a dream, in crud and "pow" it crushes it and makes riding outside of the park enjoyable.

Didn't have much time to post but I would be happy to go into more detail later, you will be happy with either of these skis though!

Never ridden the Jmo but i have FR's and they are awesome all over the mountain. Here in PA obviously we don't get any pow or anything obviously but they are super fun no matter where you wanna take them. I'm 5'10" and ski the 186, the bases are much faster than i anticipated. Have about 15 days on them now and not a single complaint yet. I have a friend that ride's Jmo's and he loves them too so i don't think you can go wrong either way. On3p is worth every penny.

Man, this is gonna be a super difficult choice for me. I'm currently riding some 2010 Kung Fujas, great skis, but I'm updating over the next couple years. From everything I've seen on here, I'm seriously leaning towards On3p. Going with a two ski quiver and its between FR's and Jmo's for an all-mountain/park, and then either Caylor or BillyGoats(or the near equivalents coming out this year, the Jeffrey 122 I think and I have no idea if the BG is getting replaced) for more of a powder oriented ski.

I was gonna get the pow ski first and keep on the kung fujas, but maaaan all these reviews are making it wicked difficult.

I've owned both and can offer some useful advice.

The J-mo is my go to ski as it's an acceptable park ski (a larger skier could get by with it as their primary and be perfectly happy), and it's very fun all mountain in variable conditions. It's stiffer and wider than the FR, is not symmetrical, and is much much more versatile.

The FR is a very fun park ski. Light weight, nice flex, symmetrical and durable. Center mount it and shred the park, done.

If you are looking for a park ski, get the FR. If you want a ski that you can ride in literally every condition and have fun, the Jeronimo is hard to beat. Great in the park and groomers, but can be skiied fairly hard in crud, hardpack, and powder. Back when I had more skis and more days a season, I rode the J-mo on days when it snowed and bit and I wanted to ski all mountain in the morning and lap the park in the afternoon, and the FR most of my days on the mountain as Colorado has endless sunny park days. I don't ski park as seriously anymore and the J-mo is now my everyday ski.

The Jeronimo can best be described as the perfect compromise between a true park and a true all mountain ski. Thus, you get a very fun ski that will do well across the board, but can obviously be bested by a pure park or pure charger/powder specific ski if you push it very hard in either category. It's like it was made for Summit County.

I rode the jmos for 2 years and loved everything about them. I have 2 friends who ride FRs and they don't have anything bad to say about them either. Both my friends are smaller guys than me, I'm 6'4, 190, I like that the jmo has more beef and a wider underfoot

It's symmetrical and rockered so 181 isn't nearly as daunting as a traditional 181 if you're worried about that.

I believe they're both on the 181. The rocker lets you ride it like a smaller ski. Which is why I wish they would just produce the 190 jmo

I ride the FRs and love them to bits, so much fun to ride all over the mountain not just park, hell they even hold their own in small amounts of fresh pow. Cannot overstate how epic ON3P is as a brand though so you'd be happy with either.

It's rocker-camber-rocker. Same rocker profile as the jmo I think, but it is said to be the softest ski ON3P has ever made. But it isn't a noodle by any means.

I recently spoke to some guys at ON3P via PM and they basically told me it depends on how much park I ride. I almost was ready to pull the trigger but I might just wait for the Karl.

Pretty much this. I debated between the two but I couldn't have just a two ski quiver with strictly park skis and strictly powder skis (on3p caylors) so I wen't with the JMO and I couldn't be happier.
