ON3P FR size question

I am going to pre-order the 2016 Filthy Rich but I am a little confused on sizing. 181cm with 10-20%rocker skis are what i normally ride, but with the really early rise and high camber should i go for the 186cm?

I ski mainly park.

Like to hit the trees and groomers somedays.

mainly riding keystone, breck, beav. CO

Big on rails. and jibs

trying to lock in some of the bigger Freeway jumps

6' 1 165lb

So just trying to see if Ill need the 186cm for more stability. and if i do, will it throw me off on rails?

Appreciate the help.

I'm not exactly an expert on this but I would say you should be fine sizing up or staying at 181. If you sized up, you would just have to adjust the first couple days. I'm coming off a 148 and sized up to a 168 for next season. Moving up 5cm wouldn't throw you off too much. I think you could go anyway you want.

In my opinion, if I was your height I'd go for the 186. Heck, I'm 5,10 and I'd go for the 186, but alas, I have a pair of 181s.

any issues with nollie/ butters on those for you?

186 mate. your 6'1 and they have 40 cm of rocker. youll def be fine. im 6'1 and rode some 188s with about 30 cm of rocker (tip to tail was a 186) to jib on and had no problems

Not now. I had a little while getting used to the rocker (first pair of rockered skis when I purchased them), but once that was done, they butter like a knife through butter.

I'm 5'11 an about 170lbs and I rode the 186 jmo. Although out of the park they were perfect in the park they did feel big at times. If I was gettin the fr for mainly park I would go 181. The smaller ski would have less swing weight and would still give the stability for park use. if your looking for 50/50 park and MTN then 186 would be better and so woild the kartel potentially. But for pure park fr would be my choice.

when you say they felt big, how do you mean? trouble spinning out on lower rails or spins on jumps kind of. or trouble with nollie?

Whenever you have a longer ski the swing weight will increase which makes spins harder. The longer length is perfect out of the park when higher speeds and rough terrain mean you need the longer length for stabiliTy. But in the park I did not need that stability so much so the longer ski was just added weight. That is why if it was for a pure park ski I would go 181. They would still be stable enough for everythin in the park but be lighter and spin faster. I never really see the point of going long for park skis and it's somthing a lot of pros say too.
