ON3P edges

So I got my filthy riches and im super stoked, they are really fun I pretty much like everything about the ski except that i have put 4 days on them and the edges are already to the point where there is less than half the edge material left. I do live on the east coast and almost exclusively do rails, but my line chronics i had before took a much longer time to get to this point of being worn down. I was pretty excited due to all the hype over their edges and was kinda disappointed. Only one edge crack so i guess thats good but yea all this talk about on3ps edges and I haven't been to pleased with them. Other than that I really like them, would probably still buy another pair regardless.609190.jpeg

wasn't so much that I want a new pair of skis, just wanted to share my experience, I do realize that its my own actions that have caused my edges to do this, im just disappointed

Did you hand.file them down before hitting rails? doing a massive detune by way of rails will annihilate edges on any ski

How the fuck did you do that...I ride rails on my FRs for at least 5 hours a day 5 days a week and they look almost brand new...

But those look more rounded than worn down, it just makes it look like they're almost dead...I bet they still last for a long time.

im confused as to why there is a rectangular chunk missing from your sidewall.

or am i looking at the picture all wrong?

those are just rounded, I think you're gonna be okay for a good long time, rounded edges will last longer than sharp ones, they'll catch less

not sure why you're disappointed, on3p doesn't have some miracle edges that aren't susceptible to wear and tear. they're simply larger than the edges that the majority of other companies use, thus they take more force to crack and give you more time before they're completely worn down.

That's what I had heard hence my disappointment, and they are more just a flat scrapes edge than round at all, could upload mor pictures but not really worth it

I developed an edge crack on my jeronimos after probably 12 day of riding. Nothing super hard either just normal rails and a few slams and falls here or there. Like you I was kinda disappointed but their isn't much you can do.

Though On3ps edges are the thickest on the market, they aren't indestructible. After half a season on my FRs I have at least 3.5 feet of edge missing.

edge cracks arnt really that big of a deal, its when they pull out. Sometimes you may get an edge crack the first day and have nothing worse happen for the rest of the season.

On a side note, I have become used to skiing without edge underfoot so now rails feel weird when I have edge.
