I really like the 13/14 Filthy Riches and I know of a pair I can get now, but that would mean they would just sit around in my house for a while till I can get bindings and get them mounted... if anyone knows if Karl's new ski will be rockered, please let me know... if it is, I'd be very interested
 
basically what I'm asking is it worth it to spend a lot of cash now to buy a ski I won't be able to use for a long time or just wait?
 
Unless you can get a good deal on the filthy riches I dont see any reason to not just wait for karls new ski and if they arent what you are looking for then buy the fr
 
now that I know the dimensions of Karl's new ski, I'm not as interested, so I want Filthys, but I prefer the 13/14 graphic :/
 
Then buy this years filthys... They aren't changing anything on the filthy except the topsheet next year. You'll be happier if you buy the one which topsheets you like best, even if you have to wait a few months to ski them.

My buddy bought new lifes over the 2012 summer, tore his acl on his second day of the season, and finally just skied them for the first time a few weeks ago. You'll be okay.
 
But, if you were to get them later, you would spend the same amount of money on them, just at a later date, correct? You'll still have to hold onto the same amount of cash to buy them later.
