ON3P Billy Goat 108?

Hi Longtime lurker, 1st time post here:

I'm thinking this is the year of new daily driver planks for me. I'm an primarily East Coast skier (Sugarloaf mostly, I also hit Jay, Stowe, and Cannon on occasion) and I currently ski Line Supernatural 108's. I also have a set of ON3P Cease and Desist for powder and a set of beater twin tips for screwing around. I love the ON3P C&D but its too soft/rockered for anything that isn't storm day skiing.

I am also a big fan of the Line SN108 but mine are pretty well damaged from use, and you can't buy them anymore. I've never skied anything that is as stable through choppy snow and day after powder leftovers as the SN108. I like the 108mm+/- width for daily skiing even though its wider than what most people in the east run, cause I don't really ski that much if it's really icy anymore. I rarely ski groomers unless skiing with friends who can't really do trees and ungroomed well.

Has anyone got experience with the Billy Goat 108? Seems like ON3P sells it in their "touring" series, but you can order it custom with standard layup.

Should I just go for the full 116 Billy Goat as a daily? I'm worried it will be like the C&D on ice (terrible) due to the width. Never had the chance to ski any Billy Goats at all, so I have no experience here.

TGR will have a lot more to say on these skis to be honest. A 108 Skinny Goat has been a offering in past, and it’s similar in shape to old Steeple 102’s - one of my favorite do it all skis.

The billy goat excels at skiing powder and chopped pow conditions, but is just ok on groomers. Haven’t skied the skinny billy but it shares its shape with the billy goat, it would be faster edge to edge but still soft snow oriented.

I think the wrenegade 108 or woodsman 108 would be more similar to the supernatural 108 you have and like. Wrenegade if you want more ability to charge than your supernaturals and like a mount point around -8 to -10. Woodsman would be more versatile All around, easier at slower speeds, and a -6 mount point.

Damn how many pairs of full tilts do I need?

Full tilt billy goat?

I daily 2015 billy goats in pnw/montana. they actually have some nice edge control and you can lean into the shovels for carving because of the mount location. Idk what the new 2020 goats ski like but if you like directional skis, the skinny goats might do the trick. The woodsman is similar but just a step in between the jeffreys and the Goats so if you want to slash/slarve a bit more or be a little looser for when your knees give out they're not a bad option either.
