ON3P Beartooth Summer Session RETURNS! June 1-4, 2017

It's been a couple of years since we could have the event, but due to the deep year we had, we are going to be bringing the ON3P Beartooth Summer Session back this season!

The event takes place June 1-4 at Beartooth Basin Summer ski area. Pretty much smack dab on the WY/MT border.

We'd love to see you up there and will have giveaways, a Big-Mountain Slopestyle comp, rail jams, free food and beer, raffles, shenanigans, and actual skiing in June off of a lift. Not much better than that if you are still searching for turns!

Magnus Granér, LSM, Forster Meeks, Jake Doan, Karl Fostvedt, and others are all planning on being in attendance if you'd like to come out and ski with and meet some of the team.

Finally, ON3P will also be demoing 2018 skis at the event on Friday and Saturday for free.

hell yeah been waiting for this for years! just requested time off work, no way i'm missing it

i'm guessing there are tent-friendly areas nearby?

Yes, TONS of camping all through that area that are suitable for tents.

Glad you can make it.
 
I'll be there June 1-3. Going to be my first real taste of skiing out west without my family lagging behind... I hope some of you real skiers can show this park rat the ropes!!

Gonna try to make it, work is insanely busy right now and I just missed a week for a conference so idk if they will let me leave again haha

Are there specific spots we should know about for camping or will it be pretty obvious when we get there?

Mostly people camp down on road MK, which is at the base of the pass, it gets a little crowded on the weekends, from people coming over from Billings. Also keep in mind that you are in bear country, so be careful with your food storage. See ya everyone out there

Hell yea, thanks for the info! Any recommendations on food storage? We don't have a bear box
 
This thread reminded me a lot of old school newschoolers. No hate, everyone stoked and helping eachother out. Stoked to see the edits that come out of this, they were always fun to watch

does the top section get roped off during the big mountain slopestyle comp? i don't really care to enter a comp, but i'll do it if i have to on saturday
 
Meeks here, me, Magnus, jens Nillson, peyben and the bunch filmers are cruising out to beartooth tomorrow from hood, can't wait to ski and camp and hang with everyone! Should be some of the best times of the season!!!

Currently en route on the hype train with Vandersteeze and Mr Cultrara somewhere outside of Missoula. Should arrive a little before lifts start spinning this morning.

Best few days of skiing/camping I have ever had. Hope conditions are favorable to open next summer too.
 
I might be heading up to the Beartoots again Friday afternoon if anybody wants to camp and take some laps.

Have fun up there and let us know how that FWT qualifier goes. It should be a pretty heavy comp with all those psychos from Bozeman, Jackson, and Salt Lake. Wish i could make it out there again this season.
