skiing is too funny. actually too retarded, it took a jibbin park rat to switch to north face's "team" before any of you acknowledge that TNF is a solid brand and has built quality merchandise since before you were born?

TNF realized it was out of touch with probably the fastest growing sector of the ski market and did something about it. Will they make tall-tees? probably not but expect their new outerwear to include some more pieces targeted to more park skiers than before.

this seems to be part of a big overhaul of their image which includes introducing cycling clothing aimed at the freeride mtn bike community.
 
Now they will blow up??? IT'S THE NORTH FACE!!!!! They are the largest outerwear manufacturer in the world... Tom Wallish will have a very small effect on this brand.. But I think your moronic post is proof enough that they made the right choice when trying to raise sales in this market!

Skiing is not retarded. Everyone knew North Face has been a solid brand and has built quality merchandise before we were born. It was the style of this quality outerwear that many park rats did not like. For this reason, most people recognized TNF as quality outerwear that didn't fit their style. Now that Wallisch and Martini are on TNF, park rats are looking for the same proven quality with a change in style for some of its lines. Thats all.
 
think you read the part about riddle - however, judging by the few clips ive seen of wallisch in pipe recently if he really wanted to i wouldn't be surprised if he could be that good by 2014
 
well they have been sage's sponsor for years, and they have never had a lack of bright colors, or baggy fit. all they were lacking was some robot to wear the product to get you dummies hyphhhhhyyyyyyy
 
I agree with you for the most part, (which is obviously pretty funny)

I think everyone has known that TNF is legit as hell. BUT, although they have been baggy, they haven't been park skiing/freeride scene/snowboarding baggy - and never tall enough for big guys, especially to be considered stylish. unless you're really short. I'm 6'3 and that's the reason why I have never bought their outerwear.

 
along with Sage, Dana Flahr, Ingrid, Mark Carter (SNB)... this team is rock solid and well-rounded. Does legendary JH ripper Sick Rick Armstrong still put the team together?
 
What looks sick to me, besides getting hooked up with legit gear... is the backing TNF seems to have towards Tom and Nick's filming/ski-crew aspect as well. Without working hard with your homies, its def hard to get big things done. Stoked for them and for the gear they will be producing, should be sick!
 
Pretty sure I didn't reference myself in that post. Just saying. That'd be just the same as me stating that you likely only use gore-tex products since you're bitching about park rats ie you're probably some grungy big mountain tool. Bright colors and baggy fit doesn't necessarily mean a park rat would like it.
 
Well maybe now North Face will make new clothing referring to jibbers and hopefully make longer and more baggy outerwear. I really hope so, because North Face is a really quality brand ! Stoked to see what this will bring !

hahahaha. I have owned way to much North Face in my life.. I was reffering to all the little kiddos who are on wallischs dick. Everyone wanted "Tom Wallischs Jacket", because it is oh so cool (oh my god; notice the sarcasm)

o ya nick martini is not freakishly tall. im sure THE north face will accommodate this. seeing as he is one of their riders now. not to mention their illest rider.
 
Hmm... This is cool and all but wallisch with sweet protection was way sicker... That seemed like a prime outerwear sponsor...quality shit that's pretty rare, Guess TNF put a great deal on the table..
 
Maybe that is what can save skiing clothes from becoming too baggy. Doesn't look cool if there is a freakin tent wobbling behind you. TNF's Resolve and Dunmoran series are sick.
 
now even though i respect the north face and like their stuff i hope that because they signed such a big name like wallisch that they dont get a monopoly over freestyle outerwear. Im not saying it will happen but it would be pretty sad if something like this puts first drop/ldc/saga out of business

minus some racers (does TNF make speed suits) thats pretty darn well rounded.

very smart business move on TNF's part. I bet their sales will increase a lot now, especially with a new line. I'm stoked for this, I've always loved their designs and colors, but the fit hasn't been baggy enough for my taste.
 
lol you're right... so much so wallisch needs to get like a back-end deal like move stars get based on a film's profits, he should get a chunk of the new line's sales
