anyone know how to remove a die cut sticker from a car (preferably without damaging the car)?
+k to anyone who helps out, and free NS stickers to the most helpful response
thanks guys!!

theres a product you can buy called "goo gone" which will take it off without a problem.

very carefully use a razor to peel up the edge of the sticker then peel the rest off. once it is off goo gone it like the fellow above me said. goo gone works wonders

get a hair dryer and blow dry the sticker to get the adhesive stuff sticky again and then it should peel right off

take a butter knife and pry out a little corner of the sticker and then put goo gone where the sticker meets the car, keep lifting the sticker while putting more goo gone in the crease so it lifts easier, the when your done rub the goo gone everywhere so theres no sticker spots (usually there isnt with die cut stickers but just do it anyway)

Don't use a razor blade unless its on glass if its on the body go to a hardware store and get a plastic putty knife, to scrap it, then apply goo gone, but test goo gone on a non-visible area first to make sure it doesn't damage the paint.

THIS.

all you have to do is heat it up, then use something with a thin edge (or fingernail) to peal it right off. If theres any residue left, apply some GOO BE GONE one it and it will come right off!

agree with the above comments about the hairdryer or wait till a really hot sunny day and use a razor to peel up an edge of the decal. i've taken a bunch of decals off this way and never had a problem. if there is residue(which most die-cuts don't leave behind) and you want to use a goo-gone or something similar, put a tiny amount on a part of the paint that isn't visible(bottom edge of a door or bumper) just to make sure it won't hurt your paint before going for where the sticker was.

I agree with everything everyone else has said. But since you just stuck it on, their shoulden be much if any glue on the car. Usually the glue will only stay on the car I'd you put it on in real hot weather and will melt the glue.

Try just peeling it off with your finger nail as it isn't to technical of a design, so it should be easy. But If not them use a hair dryer and then use the goo gone on the surface.

Hope this helps.

woah thanks for all the help guys.....the funny thing is that i just went out and peeled it off with my fingers right after i made this topic....no residue or anything!
but, i did say free stickers, so i guess i owe them to someone. since i didnt actually use any of your help, everyone who posted above just pick a number between 1 and 25. ill check this again in a few days and whoevers closest gets the stickers. sorry if that doesnt seem fair but i figure id rather leave it up to chance
best of luck!

i had the same problem, you wont be able to keep the die cut once you take it off. If you have longer nails try and peel up the sticker, if not use something to help you, razor works. Then once you have the die cut off put some goo gone on a paper towl and rub it where the sticker use to be, so it wont leave any marks. The amount of goo gone wont affect your car if you use "to much".

Paint thinner, a chisel and a hammer.

Huff the paint thinner so you're on your game. Then carefully hook the sticker with the back end of the hammer (the nail remover thing) and lightly rap the other end of the hammer with the chisel. Sticker will pop right off.

Hahaha Rowen gets some stickers because that was hilarious. The rest of you, keep guessing! I'll check this tomorrow and announce who gets the rest

i didnt know this was a contest to who could be the funniest...i thought you were legitimately trying to get the sticker off of your car lol but i must admit Rowen's comment made me laugh

number was 18, so Jesse gets stickers for guessing 17 and Rowen gets some for being hilarious. Thanks for all the help guys!
please PM me your addresses so i can mail the stickers

you guys and your goo gone and paint thinner. just peel it off and rub the sticky area with an adhesive remover pad, costs way less than those liquids.

I took a sticker off my car not too long ago (die-cut). I used my nails and a snow scraper to pick it off and I spit shined to get the sticky residue off.

soap water, nail polish remover and a hot waxing scrapper oh a ice scrapper. look up how to take window paint off, its the same steps.

I don't know dude, you might total the car by trying to take the sticker off. You will cause insane amounts of damage.

But really though, how bad can it be? So what if it's a little crooked.
