Olympic Hopeful Pipe Rider, Kevin Pearce in a Coma...

FUCK, i hate hearing about injurys, it really makes me second guess myself when i go out there, this could happen to anyone, asmuch as i hate constant reminders of the danger of our sport its good to keep you in check.

But seriously this is fucking shitty MAJOR+++++vibes to the family and friends of this rider.

Now im not so sure i want to be trying my fronts in the park tomorrow, this shit always make me rattled.

this is awful. its weird- i dont know him but i cant not think about it. my mom just died two months ago andit was hard on my family and i just hope his family all the best. life is too short sometimes but i truly hope he makes a full recovery.

For sure. Not trying to be a post whore, but my sister and I grew up with the Pearces and its just really shocking (as it is for everybody who knows, loves, or admires him). But I think for one thing people need to be aware of their skill level and progress in a safe way. However, accidents happen and this is one of those sad cases. I'm staying optimistic though and pulling hard for him.

I was in PC when this happend, looked really bad! +++++vibes. hope you get back out there soon! you were killin it!

This is so tough to hear about, so many vibes to kp, he's one of my favorite snowboarders. i hate hearing about any rider going down. +++vibes+++ for sure

I hope the X-games checks themselves on the whole Biggest Hit thing after this. This type of thing can happen at any time. Vibes to the family, friends, and Kevin of course.

One of my friends visited KP in the hospital today and gave them the thumbs up. Definitely a step in the right direction even though its going to be a very long recovery.

on the facebook group this was posted by adam pearce today

Jan 16, 4:00pm: Another day in the right

direction. Kev has been cleared to have his cervical collar (neck

brace) removed for part of the day. Continue to be amazed at all the

well wishes.-Adam

sounding promising, vibes his way

I have a buddy who went through something similar. Traumatic brain injury, 3 months in a coma. That was back in sophomore year high school. He graduated on time with honors and is now double majoring in chem and thermo or something like that. He's such a strong kid as i'm sure Kevin is too. Everyone can help out. Keep pouring the vibes towards him, positivity can't do everything in this situation, but it can play a crucial role. Good luck Kevin, if you have the heart to chuck double flips in a pipe, you definitely have the heart to pull through this and continue to amaze the people around you.

If anyone hasnt heard, we lost danny D. for the olypmics too. Thats the 2 kids (both from Stratton Mtn School) that were gonna place ahead of Shaun White now out of the competition.

Thoughts to both families and frends.

HAHA!!! This video made me SOOOO HAPPY... He can rip madd hard still and its funny to me that he looked like it was his first run since like summer break, not since like 700 days ago... YEA KP. SEE U UP THERE!!!!

Because there was no other thread when I posted the video in here. I even searchbarred to make sure.

I just figured instead of making a new thread I'd give an og thread about the accident a happy ending.

Other than that go complain in another thread. Kbye.
