So, I hope by now everyone realizes that Oldschool skiing is fucking cool.
Why not buy Oldschoolers.com, and make a site dedicated to Oldschool skiing, whether from the 60s or from 2011 and beyond. A documentation of our splendid freeskiing history as well as an attempt to keep that history alive. An oldschool maneuver should be performed at least once every day of skiing. Thoughts?

Well as an older skier myself (37), it's my opinion that people that label themselves oldschool, use it as an excuse to not learn new tricks because they are scared. I've seen it firsthand. "yeah man screw rails, I don't do that shit...I'm old school!". Older skateboarders are the same way. As you get older, it gets hard to stay relevant and keep up with what's going on. But pining for days gone by is no way to live your days. Do what you want to do and let the sport go where it evolves to. Don't put anchors on it.

Meant to be serious then? But a do have a fucking clue. Post this in Mr. Bishop's original thread or in NSG. I still I don't think anybody care about your opinion.

nice post, and to the op people should do old school tricks cuz there fun not to "remember where are sport came from"

man your so hip!

Cause in the 60's they had so much style!

Triples and doubles are over rated and have no style.

lets go do some daffy's

to everyone ranking on the idea, chill out. i personally wouldnt join the site (newschools too much fun) but i think thered be a solid base of people who would. everything we're doing now is built off what people did before, so if you feel like keeping that era alive, go for it

Newschoolers is neither new, nor a school.
