Older bindings

so i am planning on useing some old jesters on my skis this year and i was wondering what kind of damage could have been done to them over the years. i skied a year on them when i got them on the green walls the year they came out, water ramped for a year on them then skied urban and jib yard on them. do the years of sitting around/water from ramps have an effect on their prefomance? how does water damage bindings and how easily can they break from it?
i am planning on putting them on my main park skis and using them a lot and i want to make sure they are still fully functional and will last at least 2-3 more years or if i should just invest in a new pair and sell the old ones

should be fine as long as theres no rust from water ramping. if there is rust it might have gotten into the inner springs and i think that fucks some stuff up.

The water should be fine, as you said snow is also water and it gets into the binding when you are skiing. But jesters are not old, they came out 2 seasons ago. They will be fine. I figure you would be talking about an old pair of fkx or something from the early 2000's. I have a pair of rossi bindings from the 07 season on my urban/ beater skis that still work perfectly fine.

the bindings shouldnt rust because they aren't made of metals that rust. they will be mostly aluminium or possibly galv. or stainless. so they wont rust even when water gets in there.
