Anyone play OSRS on here? I think I ran into a guy on the discord that did, but since I sold my PC and use mobile primarily now, I have since left and it leaves me wondering, are there any new school old school runescapers still perusing these forums?
 
I play on and off a bit but it’s been months since I’ve been on. Game is just too much of a time consumer :/

For me its just cheap gaming, can pretty much use gold for my membership at this point which is nice. Don't argue the fact its a time suck, but sometimes I just skill to relax and feel productive. Stop wastin' xp yo!

Pissed me off. I still play rs3 on and off but dont fuck with microtransactions. 100m i make by bossing is wort infinitely more than 100m that my credit card bought. Overall osrs is harder but when it comes to bossing rs3 takes the cake with things like telos and aod.
 
i cba to grind for bonds anymore, got a decent osrs acc tho. recently ive just been playing an RSPS called ikov, its pretty fuckin good
 
This thread made me log onto, both my osrs, and nsrs and both of them were hacked. My character was in the wilderness with literally nothing

You like? saw there were only 568 People online at the moment, seems like it could be fun, and new enough to start out and get filthy rich.

Reminds me when my WoW account got hacked and I found him floating in red ridge, naked, with thousands upon thousands op copper ore. Whoever did that was using mad hacks.
 
Yeah it's the best rsps I've ever played. Active deep wild, good pvming, and between 400-1000 people online depending on the time

used to play soulsplit, not sure if its still around
 
was big into it 2005-2007

just got into it again last winter and played with a membership for like 3 months

then I blew my knee, bought a ps4 and never looked back. once you get a skill past level 30-40 it takes fucking hours of running whatever to move forward. it was a mystery as a kid but as an adult I look at this game and realize that anyone who was ever good at it either used bots or was a total fucking loser 100%.

haha how long have you been at that account?

I got super into it when they released mobile cause it was a sweet way to kill time at work over lunch n stuff. but then once I had all my skills around 40-50, then on top of that had a torn acl I was like wait what am I doing I can buy a ps4

pretty good for the time I spent I think. this was all done in november-january of last winter. the grand exchange thing makes things wayyyy fucking faster too. like the auction house in WoW.

it varies immensely by skill. Most skills have multiple viable training methods. The afk methods are generally lower xp/hr than the most focus-intensive methods

For combat, the rock crabs/sand crabs/ammonite crabs are mega afk, easy combat xp. Once you get strong enough you can do afk slayer which is pretty much just skipping any slayer task that isn't easily afkable. Then once you have a bit of gear and some quests done, Nightmare zone is insanely easy, almost free combat xp. Like 60k-100k xp/hr. I pretty much did this until I was strong enough to fight bosses and raid. Runescape is a really fucked up game in terms of game design in that all of the fun stuff to do is at the end of the game.
