Old School Medicines for Colds

For the past week I have been dealing with a pretty nasty cold. It has sadly sidelined me from skiing and I was wondering if anyone knew of any like traditional methods of getting healthy quick. I'm drinking a lot of tea and shit but anything else that would help would be nice.

I had a chest cold when I was little, and my grandma made this paste out of mustard seed and some other shit. She smeared it on me and then wrapped me up with plastic wrap to keep it from drying out. I can't imagine that helping you, but there it is

the ancient Inca used to used these remedies called acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. The things are really hard to get a hold of but they work

Orange juice, vitamin c pills, vick's vapor.

Oh this is a good one too: Mix apple cider vinegar with honey in a glass of warm water. That stuff works really well.

that's one of those remedies that everyone seems to bash but something about that nasty tasting apple cider vinegar always clears me out

Get 8-12 hours of sleep, drink tons of water, and take NyQuil. I know you said old school, but I used to be a skeptic of NyQuil and it has been a saving grace in college.
