matt i think we need a forum that only people that were here before the recoding (i think thats the date in our profile that says member before 2001-10-01) can post on or read... just a sudgestion

id say more of an exclusive member forum rather then just old members... not all old members are great, but not all new members are bad... some how evaluate who is in or out...

I really think a donator forum would be good. that way people like me who have been around forever will want to donate. it makes sense, like a pay forum where a lot of useless stuff is filtered out.

some people have been at the site for a while and not reached the denator level because they dont feel they have comment on every thing and if u startted a dentor form u would have people just making stuipd post all the time just to get into the forum and then u would have to deal with the problem of only haveing the people that were in before the date and all that shit so u should just get a admin forum . harvey or someone should rate people and they get the admin rateing are aloud to go into ur speical forum so retards arnt in it . in my opinion this would be the only way to do it.

 
i don't think you understand. anybody can be a donator. all they have to do is donate to the site. it has nothing to do with the number of posts or anything. just donate to the site. it think its kinda a good idea.

there should be karma points or some shit. if somebody says something you like/agree with you give them good karma. if they say something stupid you give them bad karma. when you get a certain amount of karma you can get into the 'special' forum. that might work

Anyway, the point would not be for guys like weiner to NOT donate... if there was an exclusive forum and he donated (just using weiner as an example, not to single him out), then overall it would be a GOOD thing... the purpose of an exclusive donator forum would be to get more people to donate. However, it wouldn't really fulfill the function of an 'old member forum' because a lot of donators are (relatively) new guys.

But either a 'donator' or an 'old member' forum would be short-lived... there's only so much for old members to talk about, and that can be done in Site Discussion or Non-Ski Gabber. And what would people talk about in a Donator forum? Pretty much the only thing to talk about is how cool we are for donating and having our own forum.

I DO like the idea of added incentives for donators, some sort of increased access that would get more people to donate... but I dont think a forum would be much use.

how about a forum that you need 1000 posts or something to be in. Then after awhile up it to 2000 and then keep going as the numbers skyrocket.

maybe a subcription forum, you pay a monthly fee or something and get to use the forum. It would keep people out who just want to be retarded. I would definately pay for the priveledge of using a bullshit-free forum. And i dont think a number-pf-posts forum would work, i mean i've been here almost a year and still have less than 300 posts. Its quality not quantity

i think it shuold be open to anyone with a member number under 1000. anyone after that can view what is siad, but they cannot post, so they get the same info, just they cant make retarded posts.

well take a look at the ski forum. there are different types of threads. ones that are good, ones that are bad and ones that are just useless. people get mad when you delete the 'useless' thread and it's probably important to the person.

as i think that its time to rotate mods so that we get a freash start, make a new one to weed out retards, and when something is being taken down make a new area where there is a explination of why the forum came down

maybe like an old members forum, and you have to have a certian amount of posts like 500, cus people might go to some old SN that they made a long time ago and then come back, so they know whats going on and they ahve been here for a while. i htink it should be able to be vewed by everyone and it should def happen, it would be cool if it was only temporary,.
